The Health of the . M . E . Z ., " and coneratulated him on his working , and thought that the Pavilion Chapter bid fair to be one of the first in the

province . Comp . Wood , . M . E . Z ., in reply , thanked the " companions for the hearty way in which they had responded to the toast ; he also esteemed it a . great honour to preside over such a chapter , and welcomed with the'greatest respect the Provincial Grand J . and S . E ., as well as the numerous visitors , there being seven from the Holmesdale Chapter ,

Tunbridge Wells . In proposing "Thc Exaltees , " the M . E . Z . said he could not help expressing his feelings of admiration in having witnessed an almost unique occurrence in Royal Arch Masonry , viz ., the exaltation of his father-in-law , Comp . Col . Tester , who Was conducted through the ceremony by his ( Comp . Col . Tester ) own son , Comp . A . H . Tester , the

P . S . 'The M . E . Z . concluded by giving the toast of thc exaltees , Comps . Col . Tester , Garrett , and Cohen . Comp . Col . Tester , in reply , spoke in eulogistic terms of what he thought must have been the working of the ceremony , and , speaking on behalf of his companion exaltees , expressed itheir deep appreciation of being accepted into such a chapter , the deep impression which had been given them of the ceremony , and the earnest hope that they would

be enabled to merit the continuance of confidence of the companions who had so graciously , ' accepted them as confreres that evening . Comp . Braid presided at the piano , and songs and instrumental solos were given by Comps . Col . Tester , E . Broadbridge , Dr . Goode , A . H . Tester , and others . We must say that this meeting augurs well for the Pavilion Chapter under the superintendence of their M . E . Z .

Yarborough Chapter ( No . Sn ) . —The installation meeting of this chapter took place at the Royal Pavilion on Friday , the 14 th inst ., when Comps . H . VV . G . Abell , was installed M . E . Z . ; H . Pearce , H . ; and T . Wickham , J . The meeting was graced with the presence of the Grand Superintendent , Comp . Lieut .-General C . VV . Randolph , and many visitors who came to do honour to the

genial M . E . Z . elect . Unfortunately another Masonic meeting and the elections for guardians prevented many of those invited from being present , but there was a good attendance . The ceremony of exaltation was performed by Comp . VV . Gill , P . Z ., P . P . G . S . N ., Prov . G . D . C , in thc unavoidable absence of thc M . E . Z ., Comp . B . Burlield , who was kept away by very important businesss . The chapter having been closed , the companions

adjourned to the saloon , where an elegant and tasty banquet had been provided by Comp . Sayers , whose catering was much appreciated . The M . E . Z . had provided some excellent music , under the direction of Miss Edith Hands , and the companions had a most enjoyable evening . The usual toasts were drunk , that of "The M . E . Z . " with special enthusiasm .

CAMBRIDGE . Pythagoras Chapter ( No . 88 ) . —A regular convocation was held at the chapter-rcom , Lion Hotel , on Wednesday , the iyth inst . The Grand Superintendent , Comp . Col . R . Townley Caldwell , was present at the installations , when the Principals' chairs were occupied by Comps . J . V . Pryor , M . E . Z . ; Fiank Piggott , H . j and

W . P . Spalding , J . These companions duly installed their respective successors , namely : Comps . Frank Piggott , AI . E . Z . ; W . P . Spalding , H . ; and Rev . L . R . Tuttiett , J . The other officers subsequently invested were Comps . Oliver Papworth , P . '/ .., S . E . ; T . Hunnybun , Treas . ; C H . Banham , P . S . ; VV . Sindall , ist A . S . ; Gordon Chennell , 2 nd A . S . ; and J . V . Pryor , I . P . Z ., Steward . Comps ,

West Knights and Frank Wright Bird ( who were raised in the All Saints Lodge , No . 171 G , and who now beleng to Scientific Lodge , No . SS ) were balloted for , unanimously elected , and duly exalted . Comp . C . E . Holland was also elected a joining member . The work of the P . S . was ably performed by . Comp . C . II . Banham .

The lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Winsborow being the candidate . PRIORY OP WEST YORKSHIRE . A meeting of the above priory was held at thc Masonic Hall , Sheffield , on Saturday , the 24 th ult ., under the banner of the De Furnival Preceptory , No ; 66 . In the absence of the V . E . Prior , Sir Knight T . W . Tew , J . P ., through sickness , the E . Sub-Prior , Sir Knight J . Dunning Kay , with the Great Officers and Officers , opened the priory .

The muster roll was called , when all the preceptones in the province—10 in number—were represented ; 72 knights signed the attendance book . The E . Sub-Prior was saluted . The E . Sub-Prior responded to thc salutation , and delivered an address .

The roll of Great Officers and Officers was called , and letters of apology were received from 47 knights . The minutes of the meeting held at Haworth on Saturday , May 26 th , were presented for confirmation . It was proposed , seconded , and carried that they be taken as read and confirmed .

The E . Sub-Prior appointed and invested the officers for the ensuing year as follows :

Tester , who Was conducted through the ceremony by his ( Comp . Col . Tester ) own son , Comp . A . H . Tester , the

P . S . 'The M . E . Z . concluded by giving the toast of thc exaltees , Comps . Col . Tester , Garrett , and Cohen . Comp . Col . Tester , in reply , spoke in eulogistic terms of what he thought must have been the working of the ceremony , and , speaking on behalf of his companion exaltees , expressed itheir deep appreciation of being accepted into such a chapter , the deep impression which had been given them of the ceremony , and the earnest hope that they would

be enabled to merit the continuance of confidence of the companions who had so graciously , ' accepted them as confreres that evening . Comp . Braid presided at the piano , and songs and instrumental solos were given by Comps . Col . Tester , E . Broadbridge , Dr . Goode , A . H . Tester , and others . We must say that this meeting augurs well for the Pavilion Chapter under the superintendence of their M . E . Z .

Yarborough Chapter ( No . Sn ) . —The installation meeting of this chapter took place at the Royal Pavilion on Friday , the 14 th inst ., when Comps . H . VV . G . Abell , was installed M . E . Z . ; H . Pearce , H . ; and T . Wickham , J . The meeting was graced with the presence of the Grand Superintendent , Comp . Lieut .-General C . VV . Randolph , and many visitors who came to do honour to the

genial M . E . Z . elect . Unfortunately another Masonic meeting and the elections for guardians prevented many of those invited from being present , but there was a good attendance . The ceremony of exaltation was performed by Comp . VV . Gill , P . Z ., P . P . G . S . N ., Prov . G . D . C , in thc unavoidable absence of thc M . E . Z ., Comp . B . Burlield , who was kept away by very important businesss . The chapter having been closed , the companions

adjourned to the saloon , where an elegant and tasty banquet had been provided by Comp . Sayers , whose catering was much appreciated . The M . E . Z . had provided some excellent music , under the direction of Miss Edith Hands , and the companions had a most enjoyable evening . The usual toasts were drunk , that of "The M . E . Z . " with special enthusiasm .

PRIORY OP WEST YORKSHIRE . A meeting of the above priory was held at thc Masonic Hall , Sheffield , on Saturday , the 24 th ult ., under the banner of the De Furnival Preceptory , No ; 66 . In the absence of the V . E . Prior , Sir Knight T . W . Tew , J . P ., through sickness , the E . Sub-Prior , Sir Knight J . Dunning Kay , with the Great Officers and Officers , opened the priory .

The muster roll was called , when all the preceptones in the province—10 in number—were represented ; 72 knights signed the attendance book . The E . Sub-Prior was saluted . The E . Sub-Prior responded to thc salutation , and delivered an address .

The roll of Great Officers and Officers was called , and letters of apology were received from 47 knights . The minutes of the meeting held at Haworth on Saturday , May 26 th , were presented for confirmation . It was proposed , seconded , and carried that they be taken as read and confirmed .

The E . Sub-Prior appointed and invested the officers for the ensuing year as follows :
