Brakenridge , Herald ; and others . The conclave was opened , and the minutes confirmed , when Sir Knight Dalrymple gave notice of motion , " That in future for the convenience of the majority of the sir knights the quarterly convocations of this conclave be held

on the third Friday in place of Wednesday . And for the same reason it be expedient to consider the removal of the warrant from Cockermouth to Whitehaven , being more central , and for the good and welfare of Red Cross Masonry . £ 24 ios . ; the sum of £ . 27 7 s . sd . vvas brought forward from last year ' s account ; the expenditure has been £ 27 13 s . sd . ; leaving a balance in hand of £ 24 4 s . " The report was adopted nem . con . R . W . Frater Rev . Dr . T . VV . Lemon then exhibited Du Chanteaud ' s "Carte Philosophique et Mathematique , Accompagnefs du Calendrier magique et perpetuel . next convocation . The M . W . Supreme Magus then read a lecture upon the curious talismans once carried by a sailor vvhich had been shown to the fratres in February last by the Rev . Dr . T . W . Lemon . Unanimous votes of thanks to the M . W . S . M . and to Dr . Lemon were cordially passed by acclamation . The question of the distribution of a large collection of old numbers of the " Rosicrucian Magazine " vvas referred to the High Council to decide upon . The temple vvas then closed .

The Grand Priory of Lancashire was held at Freemasons' Hall , Hope-street , Liverpool , on Thursday , the 21 st inst ., when the assembly of sir knights vvas a very large and influential one . It vvas with great regret indeed , ar . d a disappointment to all that Sir Knight Clement Robert Nuttall Beswicke-Royds , Very Eminent

Grand Prior , was unable to be present on account ot having sustained a severe accident . In his absence Sir Knight Henry Thomas , V . E . Grand Sub . Prior , presided in a most competent and dignified manner , and to the great admiration of all present . The preceptory vvas formed under the banner of the Jacques de Molay Preceptory , and the important business of the province was discussed and transacted in a most business-like

manner . Upon the muster roll being called over it vvas very p leasing and satisfactory to lind every preceptory vvas represented . Letters of apology were read Irom a few ofiicers , who vvere unable to be present for various

reasons . The minutes of Grand Priory holden at Manchcstei on the 16 th of April , 18 91 , vvere read and confirmed . The report of the General Purposes Committee was adopted , as vvas also the Auditors' report , wc Treasurer ' s account being very satisfactory , there being

a considerable balance in hand . The election of Treasurer proved to be unanimous )' in favour of Sir Knig ht Thomson . A vote of tha * was proposed to him for the past services he has rendered in that capacity , vvhich was received with g applause . The ollicers of the Grand Priory for the ensuing

Grand Prior , was unable to be present on account ot having sustained a severe accident . In his absence Sir Knight Henry Thomas , V . E . Grand Sub . Prior , presided in a most competent and dignified manner , and to the great admiration of all present . The preceptory vvas formed under the banner of the Jacques de Molay Preceptory , and the important business of the province was discussed and transacted in a most business-like

manner . Upon the muster roll being called over it vvas very p leasing and satisfactory to lind every preceptory vvas represented . Letters of apology were read Irom a few ofiicers , who vvere unable to be present for various

reasons . The minutes of Grand Priory holden at Manchcstei on the 16 th of April , 18 91 , vvere read and confirmed . The report of the General Purposes Committee was adopted , as vvas also the Auditors' report , wc Treasurer ' s account being very satisfactory , there being

a considerable balance in hand . The election of Treasurer proved to be unanimous )' in favour of Sir Knig ht Thomson .
