greatest success having been achieved at the Jubilee of the Benevolent , when he returned a list of upwards of £ 600 . Moreover , when W . M . of the Watford Lodge , he made it a Vice-Patron of the Benevolent and a Vice-President of the Girls' Institution . He is the Hon . Secretary of the Hertfordshire Charitable Association , and a Vice-President of , and has served three Stewardships for , the Mark Benevolent Fund . Lastly , in
1877 , when it was proposed to raise a fund among the Freemasons of England towards restoring some portion of the Abbey of St . Albans , Bro . Keyser was appointed Hon . Secretary , the Prince of Wales and other distinguished Masons giving the scheme their cordial support , and constituting themselves Vice-Patrons of the Fund , the result being the erection of a very handsome pulpit , which in 188 3 was unveiled and formally handed over to the custody of the Cathedral authorities by Bro . T . 1 <\ Halsey , M . P ., Prov . Grand Master of Hertfordshire .

On the 5 th May , 1881 , he was exalted to the Royal Arch Degree in the Metropolitan Chapter , No , 1507 , and has filled all the offices up to and inclusive of that of First Principal .
