Her Majesty completed her 66 th year on Sunday , the 24 th inst ., having been born in the year 1 S 19 . Only nine of her predecessors exceeded this age , namely , Henry I . and Edward I ., who lived to be 67 years ; Queen Elizabeth , Og years ; James II ., 6 S years ; George L , G 7 years ; George II ., 77 years ; George III ., 82 years ; George IV ., 68 years ; and William IV ., 72 years . We have been favoured with a copy of " Report of the Protestant Defence Association of the Church of

Ireland , " for the years ending 5 th November , 1 SS 2 , 1 SS 3 , and 1 SS 4 . The report describes succinctly the operations of those years , and earnestly invites contributions towards the continuance of its useful labours . Accompanying the report is a broadsheet setting forth briefly in parallel columns the principles of Freemasonry and Orangeism ,

which have both been again and again denounced by the Romish Church , and Jesuitism , which is protected by that church . There are likewise appended a few facts deduced from history for the purpose of exhibiting still more clearly the objects of the last-named society . Thus the public may judge for itself from this sheet as to the relative value of the principles inculcated by the three orders or societies .
