MASONIC CALENDAR FOR THE PROVINCE OF HERTFORDSHIRE , FOR THE YEAR 1 SS 5 . Edited by Bro . GEORGE E . LAKE , Provincial Grand Secretary , and published by authority of Provincial Grand Lodge . We do not know that we can say more of this useful

little annual than that it has evidently been compiled with the greatest care by Bro . George E . Lake , Prov . Grand Secretary , who seems to have made up his mind to secure the utmost accuracy , and at the same time to compress all necessary information within the smallest possible compass .

Bro . Lake deserves great praise for his success in compilation , tha result of his labours being the more valuable from the fact of there being no omissions—none at least that occur to us as worth noting—through failure , on the part of the lodges and chapters , to supply the needful details .
