G . D . C ; J . Purrott , P . P . G . W . Herts ; G . Davis , P . M . J and T . Simpson , P . M .

Leaving Waterloo at noon , after transacting lodge business at Freemasons ' Hall , the party went to pleasant and historic Richmond , and was conveyed by steam launch to Chertsey . An excellent lunch was served on board . The weather was dull and cold in the earlier part of the day , but a few gleams of sunshine enlivened the after proceedings . Dinner was provided at the Mitre , Hampton Court , at six .

The toast of " The Grand Officers was coupled with the names of Bros . J . Stephens , P . D . G . D . C , and O . Polenz , G . S . Bro . J . STEPHENS , after speaking of the Grand Officers , Present and Past , congratulated the W . M . upon the convivial proceedings of the day . He said that the whole affair had been admirably carried out , and he was confident that the other visitors , later in the evening , would endorse every word that he had said . Bro . O . POI . EXZ , G . S ., also said a few words in reply .

"The Health of the W . M . " was given by Bro . H . J . LARDNER , I . P . M ., who , in the course of his remarks , mentioned the fact that Bro . Debenham had for the second time been elected Master of their old lodge . The minner in which the W . M . had carried out his duties during the past year , both as the ruler of No . 60 and Grand Steward left nothing to be desired . He agreed thoro lghly with the remarks of commendation u'tered by the distinguished Past Grand Officer who had spoken with regard to the success and enjoyment of the day ' s outing .

The W . M ., in reply , briefly said that he appreciated the great compliment paid him by the members of the lodge that day in re-electing him their W . M . He thanked the I . P . M . and those who had spoken as to the outing . He trusted next year to be able to preside over a similar gathering when he hoped they might be favoured with brighter weather . The toast of " The Visitors" followed , to which toast Bros . PURROTT , G . DAVIS , T . SIMPSON , and others responded .

•' The Health of the Treasurer and Secretary" was warmly proposed by the W . M . In the course of his speech he regretted that the health of the first named brother had been very indifferent for some time past . However , he hoped to see Bro . H . Young at the installation meeting in November thoroughly restored to

health , when he should have the honour of re-investing him with the collar of Treasurer , to which ollice he had been unanimously re-elected . Bro . E . Rogers their respected Secretary , had assisted him most loyally during the past year , and was to be congratulated upon the manner in which he had discharged the dual duties of Treasurer and Secretary .

Bro . LAIIDNEK having replied on behalf of " The Past Masters , " the proceedings terminated , and the majority of the members and their guests returned to Richmond by launch . The arrangements made by Bro ? . T . Sadler , of the Mitre , and G . Tagg , of the Island Hotel , for the aquatic portion of th entertainment were highly satis * factory and gave unqualified pleasure .
