, paper being of common quality it was abandoned before it was half full . Five leaves are missing at front , but the last entry in No . 1 book being 15 th December , IS 11 , and the first entry in this being 19 th January , 1812 , I apprehend tho minutes are unbroken . Page 1 is headed

« ROYAL ARCH RECORDS , No . l 11 . " " 1812 . " 19 th January . — "A general encampment of Royal Arch Companions "usual routine * ; the resolutions respecting the annual subscription of five shillings

are written here , and signed by 27 members . Those Companions who would not pay the subscription and sign those resolutions ceased to be members , and their names would " not be registered at the Clerk of the Peace ' s office . "

16 th February . —A meeting . 15 th March . —A meeting—usual routine —and " 'Twas then further agreed that the " Chapter should open in future not ex" ceeding \ past 6 and close at 8—after ¦ ' wch—Supper to be immed introduced . "
