MALTA . Union of Malta Lodge ( No . 588 ) . —Through the kindness of Bro . Spencer , Masonic Bookseller , & c , we were favoured with a view of a handsome presentation silver chain-collar and P . M . ' s jewel , with the following inscription engraved on the back , viz . : —
" To P . M . Bro . Winthrop , as a mark of esteem and respect , by the Brethren of Lodge No . 588 , Union of Malta . " The Masonic emblems on the chain were beautifully executed , the whole exhibiting great taste in the manufacturer , and we have no doubt will be fully appreciated by the recipient , who has our hearty good wishes .
