J . Brooke is the first Master . He then made the following appointments : — Bro . H , Howe , D . Prov . G . M . ; Bro . W . Abercrombie , Prov . S . G . W . ; Bro . W . J . Judge , Prov . J . G . W .
The Prov . G . M . also appointed Bro . W . Clarke , P . G . R . ; Bro . P . Anderson , Prov . G . S . B . ; Bro . A . Cohn , Prov . G . P . The Prov . G . M . then announced that official duty would make his absence from the Presidency necessary for some time ; but that the current business of his office would continue to be conducted as heretofore ; and that R . W . Bro . Samuel Smith , as P . Prov . G . M ., would preside at the Quarterly Communications of the District G . L . during his absence . There being nothing further before the District G . John A . Quitman and A . G . Mackey , Sov . Inspectors of the latter Council . The members of the Consistory claiming under the former authority , followed the example . We learn from Bro . Hillyer , who was present at this interesting meeting , that Bro . Charles Claiborne made a very eloquent address in announcing that the Supreme Council and its Subordinates had ceased to exist for ever and
