There was a full attendance of the Brethren , and the manner in which the newly appointed officers conducted the working ofthe Loclge reflected much credit upon them , instancing the good results of Lodges of Instruction so regularly adopted hy the Brethren of this Lodge . AA'ALES ( SOUTH . ) CARDIFF . —Glamorgan Lodge ( No . 43 ) . —A Loclge of Emergency ivas held at the Lodge room on Thursday , the 27 th January , when a large number of the Brethren attended for the purpose of paying a well merited compliment to Bro . Langley , Avho has twice filled the office of AA . M ., and by his excellent working , ancl the amount of instruction conveyed by him fco the Brethren , has done so much to promote fche prosperity of this Lodge . The Lodge having been opened by the

AY . M ., Bro . Calder , unci the routine business transacted , ivas closed in due form , aud the Brethren adjourned to a banquet at the Cardiff Arms Hotel , which was presided over by the R . AA ' . Prov . Grand Master , Bro . Col . C . K . Kemeys Tynte , supported on his right by the guest of tho evening , Bro . Langley , and on his left by Bro . N . B . Calder , AV . M ., No . 43 ; tho S . AV . Bro . South , and J . AV . Bro . Cooper occupying their proper positions . There were also present Bros . Thos . Hodge , P . M . No . 43 and P . Prov . S . G . D . AV . P . JamesP . M . No . 43 and Prov . G . Sec . ;

M . ivas proposed by Bro . Calder , AA . M ., and received most cordially . The Prov . G . M . appropriately returned thanks , expressing the pleasure he felt in being called upon

to take parfc in the interesting proceedings of the evening . He then in graceful and elocnienfc terms proposed the health of Bro . Langley , and at the same time presented to him the testimonial , which consisted of a massive silver salver , ornamented with Masonic groups and emblems , and bearing the following inscription : — " Presented to Brother Robert Francis Langley , P . M ., by tho Officers and Brethren of the Glamorgan Lodge , No . 43 , as a token of fraternal regard , ancl in memory of the valuable services rendered by him to Freemasonry . January , 1850 . " This was accompanied by a splendid gold P . M's . jewelbearing a suitable

inscrip-, tion . The toast ivas received Avith the greatest enthusiasm . Bro . Langley responded in a feeling and truly Masonic address , alluding to the time when he first received the light of Masonry under the instruction of Bro . Hodge , ivho sat on his right hand that evening , and to the great strides the Glamorgan Lodge hacl made since that time . He spoke of the valuable assistance rendered to him on all occasions by the officers of the Lodge , and congratulated the Brethren on their prosperity , ancl the spirit of emulation latelshown bthe younger Brethrenstating his

cony y , fident opinion that there wore plenty of good working officers to . be had from amongst them ; and that when the new Masonic Hall shall be completed , an additional impetus ivill be given to the cause of Freemasonry iu Cardiff .
