INSTRUCTION , tfsocrr LODGE ( NO . II ) . —Tho weekly meeting of this Lodge took place on Umrsday last , at Bro . Rowland ' s , the Newton Hotel , St . Martins-street , Leicestersquare , Bro . C . J . Watson presiding as W . M ., supported by Bros . Sewcll , S . W ., and i ' . Linckes , J . W . The Lodge was opened in due form in the three degrees , and closed down to tho first , when' the minutes and by-laws made at the last meetinowere read and confirmed . Bro . Rowland was elected to tho office of Secretary , and BroCJWatson to that of '

. . . Treasurer . The ceremony of initiation was then performed , Bro . Leu-is being the candidate , and the sections of this lecture worked by Bro . Garrod . Thanks wore voted to tho AV . M . for the able maimer in which he conducted the business of the evening ; to Bro . Garrod , lor his great and unremitting attention and exertions in the formation and proper carrying out the objects of this Lodge , and which has been so happily effected , aided ° by the efforts of bro . Secretary Rowland , who was highly complimented on the very efficient and able manner in which he had performed the duties since the first meeting in f-ebruary last . After a ^ w remarks in return , tho Lodge was closed in due form and adjourned to Thursday next .

The Worshipful Bro . Henry Muggeridge , Preceptor of tho Lodge , presided over the work winch was most efficiently performed by those to whom it was entrusted .
