M ., Sir Knight Huyshe and the rest of the Grand Officers , coupled with the name of Sir Knight Montagu , " who , in responding , proposed the "V . E . Prov . Masonry states , "that tlie Baldwin Encampment , ivhich was established at Bristol by the Templars who returned with Richard I . from Palestine , still continues to hold its regular meetings , and it is believed to have preserved the ancient costumes and ceremonies of the Order . This encampment , with another at Bath and a third at Vork , constituted the three Original encampments of England , and from these have emanated the existing encampments in the British islands and in the United States , so that the Order as it now exists in Britain and America is a lineal descendant ofthe ancient Order . The Ci-aiistiut . il and Canadian Mason it Record contains the announcement of tho death of undoubtedly the oldest Mason in the world : — Died—On tho 5 th May , at Ingei-s-oll , Bvo . Charles McCue , aged 112 years , 10 months , and 25 days . " Bro . Charles MoCue was born on the 14 th June , 1757 ,

in tho town of McGibbery , parish of Machremesk , in the County of Ant-rim , Ireland , and was baptized in the-Church of England , in Sadgovstown , by the Rev . Philip Fletcher . He joined the Yeomanry Guard in 1793 , and was called out on military duty in tho rebellion of 1798 . Between these dates he was married . He emigrated with his family to Canada in the year 1837 , sailing from Belfast , Ireland , in the ship Ifrilcn , and settled in the comity of Oxford , where , by thrift and industry , he hecame the owner of a large farm property , the affairs of
