H . the Prince of AA ales , received , in the Jerusalem Lodge , at an emergency meeting , his third degree . This enabled him , as a Master Mason , to be present at the installation of H . R . H . as Patron ofthe Masonic Order in Ireland .

Brother Richard Spencer , informs us the reprint of the 1722 , 1723 , 1726 , 1730 editions of " The Old Constitutions belonging to the Ancient and Honourable Society of Free and Accepted Masons of England and Ireland ; " edited by Bro . the Rev . Dr . Cox P . G . Chaplain , & c , illustrated with two facsimile Frontispieces * by the Woodbury process , ancl other cuts , is now in course of delivery to the subscribers , and can be obtained at the Masonic Depot , 26 , Great Queen Street , AV . C .

The Provincial Grand Master of Cumberland and Westmoreland has announced that the Provincial Grand Lodge will be held at Kendal , at the latter end of September , or , the beginning of October , ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOE BOYS . —OCTOBER ELECTION BOB 1871 . —The Votes and Interests of the Governors

and Subscribers are earnestly solicited on behalf of Earnest Lewis Railing , Aged 8 Years , Son of the late Bro . Thomas Railing , for 33 years connected Avith the "Essex Standard , " as Reporter , & c , who died , after a long illness , at the early age of 40 , on the 28 th January , 1 S 69 , leaving an invalid Widow and Eleven Children—nine Sons and two Daughters—six of whom

are entirely dependent upon their eldest Brother for support . Bro . Railing was initiated iuto the Angel Lodge , No . 59 , ( uow ol ) , Colchester , in 1853 , ancl was a Subscribing Member up to the time of his decease . ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION EOR Gnus , OCTOBER ELECTION , 1871 . —The votes of the brethren are solicited on behalf of Mary Ann Line , aged 10 years . The father of the candidate , Bro . Thomas Line , who for some years kept the Chequers Hotel , Uxbridge , Avas initiated in the Royal Union Lodge , No . 382 , on the 23 d . Jan ., 1861 , and continued a subscribing member to the time of his decease , which occurred on the 23 rd January , 1871 . He

died suddenly , leaving his AvidoAv in very straitened circumstances with four children . The case is strongly recommended by a large number of influential Masons of the Province , and proxies will be thankfully received by Bros . J . Jaquin , AV . M . 382 ; W . Coombes , P . M ., Hon . THE PRINCE OF WALES AND THE IRISH FREEMASONS .

During the Eoyal visit to Ireland not the the least interesting portion of the proceedings is that relating to tho visit of Bro . H . R . H . the Prince of Prince of AVales to the Grand Lodge of Ireland , and his investiture as the Grand Patron of the Masonic Order in that country .

On Friday , August 4 th , the Grand Lodge of Ireland was summoned to meet at 4 o'clock , and was opened in ample form at a quarter to five by the Duke of Leinster , Avho occupied the throne as Grand Master .
