Spencer , of the John of Gaunt Lodge , as candidates for advancement ; but , owing to various causes , they , as well as several other

brethren elected previously , were unable to bo present , A ballot for AV . AI . for the ensuing year took place , when Bro . Brewin , S . AA ., was unanimously elected . Bro . Stretton was also unanimously re-elected Treasurer , and the W . M . and AA ardens appointed as the Audit Committee . The installation of the AV . AI . will take place at tbe bi-monthly meeting in March . A candidate having been proposed for advancement , the lodge was closed , and the brethren subsequently spent a few hours very pleasantly in social intercourse and harmony .
