M ., and the rest of tho Grand Officers , Bro . Philbrick gave an interesting sketch of the principal alterations which have been made in tbe Book of Constitutions , and which are to be considered at an Especial Grand Lodge , on the 26 th inst .
No alteration bad been made in any fundamental principle of tho laws of the Craft ; the work of the revisors , which had been very laborious , bad been mainly devoted to assimilating tbe many inconsistencies which had crept into it , throngh motions which had from time to time been made in Grand Lodge , and in rendering it clearer as a Book of reference for Masters and Secretaries of Lodges , and for
the Craft generally . He had himself , with the Grand Registrar , and several distinguished members of Grand Lodge , cheerfully devoted considerable time to the work—and bo trusted when the Book came before Grand Lodge it would be found that they had done some good in their day and generation . The health of the Lord Teuterden P . G . M . having been heartily drank ; that of the P . G . Officers was toasted , and was responded to by Bro . Fred . J . Wiseman P . J . G . W .
