United Pilgrims Lodgo of Instruction , No . 507 . — Meeting held at the Surrey Masonic Hall , Camberwell , on Friday , the 27 th ult . The Lodge was opened at 7 . 30 by Bro . C . H . Nevill W . M ., and thore were present , amongst others , Bros . H . Stokes S . W ., Lncas J . W ., G . W . Knight S . D ., F . Thnrston J . D ., C . H . Phillips I . G ., James

Stevens P . M . Preceptor , J . S . Eidmanns , Pooler , & c . The previous minutes having been confirmed , the first section was worked , and the ceremony rehearsed , Bro . Nevill affording great promise of efficiency . The coremony was also worked in sections , and Bro . Stokes having been elected as W . M . for the ensuing week , the Lodgo was closed , and the meeting adjourned .

New Concord Lodge of Instruction , No . 813 . —Held its usnal meeting at the Joll y Farmers' Tavern , Southgate-road , on Wednesday evening last , when there were present Bro 3 . P . M . Tre . winnard W . M ., Marks S . W ., Dixie J . W ., Haggar S . D ., Weeden J . D ., Gibbs I . G ., P . M . Cnsworth Preceptor , R . P . Forge Secretary ; Bros . W . F . Potter , P . M . Killick , Flack , Chnbb , Ashton , & c . The Lodge

was opened with due formality , and tho minntes of tbe previous meeting read and confirmed . The W . M . rehearsed the initiation ceremony , nnd then in a very able manner delivered the lecture on tho first tracing board , much to the edification of the brethren present . Lodge was opened in the second degree , and Bro . Flack answered the questions leading to thethird , > ut was not entrusted ( he

being a Fellow Craft only ) . Lodge resumed to the first , when the offices of Secretary and Treasurer were filled for the ensuing year , Bro . A . Perl being elected aa Treasurer , and F . Perl as Secretary , Bro . R . P . Forge retiring , on account of the numerous other Masonio duties he has to perform . A vote of thanks to Bro . Forge for his past services was unanimously passed ; also to Bro . P . M . Cnsworth

Preceptor , for his kindness during the past year . Bro . Marks was elected to fill the chair at the next meeting , and Lodge was then closed and adjourned until Wednesday next , at the hour of eight p . m . We may here mention that in this Lodge of Instruction the rehearsal of the ceremonies is rendered more effective by an accompaniment of music . The Lodge room has also been re-fnrnished , and is now one of the most comfortable in the north of London .

Finsbury Park Lodge of Instruction , No . 1288—A meeting was held on the 1 st inst ., at the Cock Tavern , Highbnrycorner . Present—Bros . Galer W . M ., Wolf S . W ., Anstin J . W ., Mnllord P . M . Treasurer , J . Rothschild Secretary , Trick S . D ., Matthews J . D ., Cooke I . G . ; Bro . R . Pearcy P . M . Preceptor . After preliminaries , the W . M . rehearsed the ceremonies of raising and passing , Brother A .

Hickman being the candidate . Bro . Galer conducted the business of the evening most efficiently , and the customary vote of thanks was passed to him , this being the first time he had presided at this Lodge . The Annual Supper of thi 3 Lodge of Instruction will take place on Wednesday next , the 8 th inst . On the 15 th , Bro . Wolf will preside .

west Midddlesex Lodge of Instruction , No . 1612 .-Meeting held at the Institute , Ealing , on Tuesday , 31 st October , Bros . Smith W . M ., Seward S . W ., E . C . Porter J . W ., Danby S . D ., Geflowski J . D ., Owen I . G ., J . Wells Secretary , H . E . Tucker Treas . and Preceptor , J . Wills , and Henning . Lodge was opened in due form , and the minntes of the previous meeting were read , confirmed

and signed . The W . M . rehearsed the ceremony of initiation , Brother Henning candidate . Bro . Henning was unanimously elected a member of tbisLodge of Instruction . The Secretary called attention to the resolution passed at a previous meeting , respecting the bye-laws of the Lodge , and on the motion of Bro . Wills , it was agreed that a

Committee shonld be appointed at the next meeting of tho Officers , to consider and report upon the bye-laws . Bro . W . Seward was unanimously elected W . M . for the next meeting ( 7 th November ) , and the Lodgo was closed in due form , and the meeting adjourned to that date .

Castle Lodge , No . 1621 . —A Lodge of emergency was held on Friday , 27 th October , at the Crown Hotel , Bridgnorth , when the Treasurer's balance sheet wns submitted , after which Bro . E . M . Southwell S . W . proposed , and Bro . T . Pratt I . P . M . seconded , that Bro . J . W . LiBter P . P . A . G . D . C . be elected an honorary member of the Lodge . Bro . Southwell said that Fro . Lister was the first J . W .

of the Castle Lodge , and although living several miles distant , had been a mostregnlar attendant at their meetings . He had , by many acts in this Lodgo and elsewhere , proved himself a thorongh Mason , and was well worthy to receive this , the highest hononr the Lodge could confer . The motion was carried by acclamation . At three o ' clock the installation meeting was held , the Lodge being opened by

Tyler . Before closing tho Lodge , the Worshipful Master presented Bro . W . Simms I . P . M . with a Past Master's jewel , which had been voted by the Lodge , and in doing so , complimented Bro . Simms upon the perseverance he had shown , and the excellent manner in which he had presided over the Lodge during the past year . In returning thanks , Bro . Simms testified to the manner in which all tho Officers

had supported him , and expressed his gratitude , especially to the Wardens , Treasurer , and Secretary , npon whom the burden had principally fallen . Lodge was then closed , and the brethren retired to the banquetting room , where an excellent spread awaited them . The brethren having dnly refreshed thomselves after labour , did honour

to the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts , concluding a most agreeable and harmonious meeting with fraternal greetings . We have been favoured with a copy of the Lodge Summons , Invitation Card , and Menu used on this occasion , and have been much gratified with an inspection of the same .

"West Smitb . fi . eld Lodge of Instruction , No . 1623 . — Notwithstanding the terribly stormy weather , a large number of the brethren put in an appearance on Monday last , when tho working of the Fifteen Sections took place . Lodge was opened , and the minutes of the former meeting were read and confirmed , after which Lodge was opened in the three degrees and resumed . The sections having been completed and Lodgo resumed in the first degree the W . Master rose , when it was proposed that a vote of thanks be accorded to the W . M . ( Bro . J . Davison ) for the very able manner in which he had conducted the

business of the Lodge , and also that the thanks of the Lodge be given to Bro . W . Martin , who had so admirably filled the office of S . W . This resolution was carried unanimously , as also was that of making them honorary members with full privileges . They thanked the brethren , in very feeling terms , expressing their hope that as honorary members they might not be overlooked , being always ready

to work when wanted . A vote of thanks was also accorded to the brethren who had assisted the W . M . in working the sections . Tho following brethren were then elected members : —Bros . R . White , Stone , G . Perkins , Freyer , J . Strngnell , H . D'Arcy , H . Sourr . The Secretary announced that probably on the fourth Monday in January next the annnal dinner would take place , on which occasion no doubt a large concourse would attend .

Selwyn Lodge of Instruction , No . 1901 . —The above Lodge of Instrnction , which is held at the East Dulwich Hotel , East Dulwich Green , celebrated its first anniversary on Thursday evening last , the 26 th ult ., when , notwithstanding the inclement weather , the brethren assembled in large numbers to hear the

ceremonies of consecration and installation rehearsed by Bro . James Terry Prov . S . G . W . Norths and Hunts , & c , and Secretary of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution . The Lodge was opened in due form at seven p . m ., and the chair was taken by Bro . Terry , who appointed his Officers pro tern as under : —Bros . Shaw P . M . 834 S . W ., Taffs S . W . 186 J . Terry proceeded with the ceremony of consecration , which it is quite unnecessary to observe was rendered in a most able aud impressive manner . The ceremony of installation followed , when Bro . W . H . Hook I . P . M . of the Selwyn Lodge 1901 was

installed as W . M ., Shaw S . W ., Burnett J . W ., Eagle Treasnrer , Belhs Secretary , Ronan S . D ., Gauntlett J . D ., Taylor I . G ., Bowler Tyler . The charges were then delivered by Bro . Terry in the most able manner . Several of the visitors present were elected members , and a vote of thanks was unanimously passed to Bro . Terry for his kindness in presiding on this occasion . The Lodge was then

closed . The brethren afterwards sat down to an excellent sapper provided by the host , Bro . J . S . Gurney , and were enlivened with songs and recitations in an effective manner by Bros . L . Eagle , Hook , St . . Leger , Campbell , Dawson , and Powell , and the Tyler ' s toast brought a very pleasant evening to a close .

Brixton Lodge of Instruction , No . 1949—On Tuesday evening last , tho 31 st ult ., at Bro . Geo . Monk ' s , Prince Regent , Dnlwich-road , East Brixton , where there was a good attendance . Bros . Lodge was opened , and the minutes of the former meeting were read and confirmed , after which Lodge was opened in the three degrees and resumed . The sections having been completed and Lodgo resumed in the first degree the W . Master rose , when it was proposed that a vote of thanks be accorded to the W . M . ( Bro . J . Davison ) for the very able manner in which he had conducted the

business of the Lodge , and also that the thanks of the Lodge be given to Bro . W . Martin , who had so admirably filled the office of S . W . This resolution was carried unanimously , as also was that of making them honorary members with full privileges . They thanked the brethren , in very feeling terms , expressing their hope that as honorary members they might not be overlooked , being always ready

to work when wanted . A vote of thanks was also accorded to the brethren who had assisted the W . M . in working the sections . Tho following brethren were then elected members : —Bros . R . White , Stone , G . Perkins , Freyer , J . Strngnell , H . D'Arcy , H . Sourr . The Secretary announced that probably on the fourth Monday in January next the annnal dinner would take place , on which occasion no doubt a large concourse would attend .

Selwyn Lodge of Instruction , No . 1901 . —The above Lodge of Instrnction , which is held at the East Dulwich Hotel , East Dulwich Green , celebrated its first anniversary on Thursday evening last , the 26 th ult ., when , notwithstanding the inclement weather , the brethren assembled in large numbers to hear the

ceremonies of consecration and installation rehearsed by Bro . James Terry Prov . S . G . W . Norths and Hunts , & c , and Secretary of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution . The Lodge was opened in due form at seven p . m ., and the chair was taken by Bro . Terry , who appointed his Officers pro tern as under : —Bros . Shaw P . M . 834 S . W ., Taffs S . W . 186 J . W ., Rowan 1901 , S . D . Gauntlett 1901 J . D .,

Taylor Secretary 1531 I . G ., Powell 1185 Organist , Bowler Tyler . The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed , Bro . Terry proceeded with the ceremony of consecration , which it is quite unnecessary to observe was rendered in a most able aud impressive manner . The ceremony of installation followed , when Bro . W . H . Hook I . P . M . of the Selwyn Lodge 1901 was

installed as W . M ., Shaw S . W ., Burnett J . W ., Eagle Treasnrer , Belhs Secretary , Ronan S . D ., Gauntlett J . D ., Taylor I . G ., Bowler Tyler . The charges were then delivered by Bro . Terry in the most able manner . Several of the visitors present were elected members , and a vote of thanks was unanimously passed to Bro . Terry for his kindness in presiding on this occasion . The Lodge was then

closed . The brethren afterwards sat down to an excellent sapper provided by the host , Bro . J . S . Gurney , and were enlivened with songs and recitations in an effective manner by Bros . L . Eagle , Hook , St . . Leger , Campbell , Dawson , and Powell , and the Tyler ' s toast brought a very pleasant evening to a close .
