DUKE OF YORK LODGE , No . 2449 .

THE regular meeting was held at the Palatine Hotel , Manchester , on Thursday , 13 th ult ., Bro . William Bodeu W . M . There was a good attendance of members aud visitors . Tho principal business of the evening was the balloting for and initiation of Mr . James Eoberts , Auctioneer and Accountant , Northwich , the ceremony being performed by the W . M .

At the festive board which followed , the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were given and responded to , the same being agreeably varied by songs , recitations , & c .

IN consequence of the numerous applications Mr . Penley has decided to give a . limited number of morning performances of " Charley's Aunt , " at the Globe -Theatre , commencing to-day ( Saturday ) and repeated on succeeding Saturdays .
