Smith , he proposed that the sum of 21 s should be given from tho funds of tho Lodge , and this was carried nnanimously . The Lodge was closed until October . The brethren then sat down to a very excellent banquet and dessert , provided by R . Cox . Grace having been said , the W . M . proposed the usual Loyal
and Masonic toasts . In giving that of H . R . H . the Prince of Wales , he remarked how proud they felt at the M . W . G . M . having appointed two Princes of the Royal Family as Grand Wardens . The toast of the R . W . the Earl of Carnarvon Pro G . M ., tho R . W . the Earl of Skelmersdale , and the rest of tho Grand Officers was given , after which Bro . Jas . Willing P . M . roso , he had a pleasing duty to perform ,
viz ., to propose the toast of tho W . M ., it was a difficult task to speak of his many good qualities , and his excellent working . All will be sorry to lose him when he goes out of office , for during his year of the occupation of the chair he had done his duty in every respect . The W . M . in repl ying , thanked Bro . Willing jun . for the kind remarks made by him , and he hoped ho deserved them ; ho had
done his share of initiations but they wore not equal in numbers to those of the 1 st W . M . This evening was a Lodge of emergency , and he hoped to have another one before he vacated the chair . He then gave the Initiates , he regretted that one of them had been obliged to leave . The toast having been responded to , the W . M . proposed the Past Masters . They were but two in number . Bro . James Willing in a
very humorous speech returned thanks , —he regretted tbo absence of Bro . Michael tho I . P . M ., who is supposed to assist tho W . M ., but the W . M . required no assistance .
