then presented to the Lodge , and a Board of Installed Masters was opened . Bro . LI . Wood was duly installed by Bro . J . Konch P . M ., in a manner that reflected great credit . The brethren having saluted the W . M ., he invested his officers , C . F . Burmeister I . P . M ., Walters S . W ., Quitman J . W ., Kench P . M . Treas ., Child Secretary , T . Cooper S . D ., Marshall J . D ., Williams I . G ., Dudgeon D . C ., Humphreys W . S .,

Swcarcs Steward . Tho W . BI ., in a very genial manner , addressed appropriate remarks to each brother on hia investuro . Bro . Seymour Smith presided at the harmonium . Tho W . M . said lie had great pleasure to inform the brethren that , by the unanimous votes of the brethren , they had decided to present Bro . Burmeister with a Past Master ' s Jewel . Ho had discharged his duties ably . Bro . Burmeister ,

in feeling and appropriate remarks , returned thanks for the valuable gift . The Secretary stated that Bro . Humphreys had presented the Lodgo with an elegant alburn , whore he hoped the portraits of the members would be placed . The W . M . also preseuted the Lodge with two Deacon ' s wands . Votes of thanks wero unanimously accorded to the brethren . The Lodge was then closed , and the brethren

sat down to an excellent dinner and dessert , provided by Bro . Dawkins . Grace having been said by the llev . P . M . Holden , the W . M . proposed the usual loyal and Masonic toasts . Bro . Burmeister I . P . M ., said tho Gavel bad been placed in his hand for a pleasurable duty , that was to propose the toast of Bro . Moore , the W . M . Ho hoped ho would be spared for . many years to ba

among them ; he was ono whom they all respected , and who he was sure would carry out every detail to their satisfaction . ( Cheers . ) The W . M . responded to tho toast . It was his pleasure to do all he could to give satisfaction to the Lodge ; he , however , had to follow a good predecessor . He gave a poetical idea of the good fellowshi p that sprung from Masonry ; he might claim many brethren amongst

those who he saw surrounding him . The next toast was that of the "Visitors . " Tho distinguished brethren present they were all pleased to see . Bros . Eev . P . M . Holden , Swallow , Harrison , and H . M . Levy . responded , and each one paid a compliment to tho working of tho I . P . M ., the Installing Master , Bro . Konch , and the hospitality of tho Lodge . Tho W . M . in eulogistic terms spoke of the

excellent qualifications of thoI . P . M . Bro . Burmoister , who they were all proud of . Ho had discharged each duty required of him , and he hoped that every brother would drink the toast with the enthusiasm it merited . Bro . Burmeister said ho was one of the oldest members of tho Lodge . He felt it an honour to bo among them as a Past Master , and ho hoped to bo with them for many years , to look after tho interests of

the Lodge . The W . M . was pleased to seo amoug them five Past Masters . All know thoir value , and the manner every one had dis . charged his duty iu the chair . lie hoped they would give thorn a hearty fire . The toast wa 3 responded to by Bros . Wilson , Sly , Kench , and Lindus . The W . M . next gave " The Officers . " All were qualified to fill any office rcqnired of them ; while they had such brethren he was sure the Lodge would flourish . This toast having been responded

then presented to the Lodge , and a Board of Installed Masters was opened . Bro . LI . Wood was duly installed by Bro . J . Konch P . M ., in a manner that reflected great credit . Swcarcs Steward . Tho W . BI ., in a very genial manner , addressed appropriate remarks to each brother on hia investuro . Bro . Seymour Smith presided at the harmonium . Tho W . M . said lie had great pleasure to inform the brethren that , by the unanimous votes of the brethren , they had decided to present Bro . Burmeister with a Past Master ' s Jewel . Ho had discharged his duties ably . Bro . Burmeister ,

in feeling and appropriate remarks , returned thanks for the valuable gift . The Secretary stated that Bro . Humphreys had presented the Lodgo with an elegant alburn , whore he hoped the portraits of the members would be placed . The W . M . also preseuted the Lodge with two Deacon ' s wands . Votes of thanks wero unanimously accorded to the brethren . The Lodge was then closed , and the brethren

sat down to an excellent dinner and dessert , provided by Bro . Dawkins . Grace having been said by the llev . P . M . Holden , the W . M . proposed the usual loyal and Masonic toasts . Bro . Burmeister I . P . M ., said tho Gavel bad been placed in his hand for a pleasurable duty , that was to propose the toast of Bro . Moore , the W . M . Ho hoped ho would be spared for . many years to ba

among them ; he was ono whom they all respected , and who he was sure would carry out every detail to their satisfaction . ( Cheers . ) The W . M . responded to tho toast . It was his pleasure to do all he could to give satisfaction to the Lodge ; he , however , had to follow a good predecessor . He gave a poetical idea of the good fellowshi p that sprung from Masonry ; he might claim many brethren amongst

those who he saw surrounding him . The next toast was that of the "Visitors . " Tho distinguished brethren present they were all pleased to see . Bros . Eev . P . M . Holden , Swallow , Harrison , and H . M . Levy . responded , and each one paid a compliment to tho working of tho I . P . M ., the Installing Master , Bro . Konch , and the hospitality of tho Lodge . Tho W . M . in eulogistic terms spoke of the

excellent qualifications of thoI . P . M . Bro . Burmoister , who they were all proud of . Ho had discharged each duty required of him , and he hoped that every brother would drink the toast with the enthusiasm it merited . Bro . Burmeister said ho was one of the oldest members of tho Lodge . He felt it an honour to bo among them as a Past Master , and ho hoped to bo with them for many years , to look after tho interests of

the Lodge . The W . M . was pleased to seo amoug them five Past Masters . All know thoir value , and the manner every one had dis . charged his duty iu the chair . lie hoped they would give thorn a hearty fire . The toast wa 3 responded to by Bros .
