A QUAETEBLY COUBT of the GOVEBNORS and SUBSCRIBERS will be held at Freemasons' Hall , Great Queen Street , Lincoln ' s Inn Fields , London , on Friday , the 12 th day of January 1900 , at four o'clock in the afternoon precisely , for the transaction of the ordinary business of the Institution , to consider proposed alterations in Laws as under , to approve and declare the List of Candidates for the Election on 20 th April next , and to determine the number of Boys then to be elected . NOTICES OF MOTION . By the V . W . Bro . Bichard Eve , P . G . Treasurer , Patron and Trustee , Chairman of the Board of Management : — I . " That Law 20 A be altered as follows ( the words in small capitals being an addition to the existing Law ) : — "Any Masonic Charitable Association ( whose Bules must first have been duly registered in the books of che Institution ) , upon payment of donations amounting to Fifty Guineas ARISING FBOM THE PEBIODICAL SUBSCRIPTIONS OP ITS MEMBERS , shall have the privilege of nominating ono of its Executive Officers as a Life Subscriber , with one vote at each Election of Boys , and for every completed sum of Fifty Guineas , so SUBSCRIBED , he shall receive an additional vote , or in lieu thereof , the Association may nominate a second Executive Officer for the like privileges . " II . That the following be a New Law of the Institution : — No . 68 A . " The Board of Management shall have power to place ( without election ) on the list of Boys maintained and educated out of the Institution any duly qualified boy who by the death or permanent incapacity of his father whilst engaged in time of war in the Naval or Military service of his Queen and Country may become entitled to receive the benefits of the Institution , provided that at the time of such occurrence the Father was a subscribin g Member to some Lodge . The number of Boys to be maintained and educated under this Law shall not at any one time exceed the number of five . " By order , J . M . THE pupils who are remaining in the Institution at Battersea Rise during the holidays enjoyed their Twelfth Night entertainment somewhat in advance of the actual date , aided and abetted by the House and Finance Committees and a number of visitors , old and young , including not a few

expupils , with here and there their little ones . Excellent ventriloquism and conjuring led up to dancing , that continued till quite a late hour for such young folk , as most of them were , and the National Anthem , sung with remarkable fervour , brought the proceedings to a patriotic end .
