The Brig hton Herald says : —¦ Councillor and Mrs . W . Rotting hnvo just become tho recipients of a mnch-valned souvenir of their silver wedding . Tho gift came from tho lloyal Brnnswick Lodge , of whieh Mr . Rotting has for many years become an esteemed member . It consisted of an address ,
enclosed in a massive oak and gilt name , and moat artistically illnminated , amongst the adornments being a beautiful floral border , a fao simile of the banner of the Lodge , consisting of a whito hor ? e
upon a bine ground , with the motto , " Nex aspera terrene , " in a circle containing Mr . Botting's family crest , consisting of a swan , with tho motto , "Floreat qui laboret , "and elsewhere is Mr . and Mrs . Botting ' s monogram " W . E . B . " The wording of tho address is as follows : —
