MADAME WORRELL'S ANNUAL CONCERT .

AT tbe Brixton Hall , on Wednesday evening last , this concert was an unqualified success , the large Assembly-room being filled , and numbers of persons not provided with tickets being unable to obtain admission by payment at the doors . The programme was lengthy , and contained some charming songs , new to thn public , and in several cases accompanied by the composers . The popular beneficiare was warmly welcomed , and was tbe recipient of numerous

floral offerings in appreciation of her talent . Amongst the lady artistes were , in addition to Madame Worrell , Miss Matilda Roby , Miss Emma Buer , Miss Isabel Browning , Miss Pauline Feafcherby , and Miss Mary Cooroy . The charming performances of Mdlle . Bertha Bronail on the Vnilin are specially deserving of mention , Bros . Turle Lee and John Jefferys assisted at the Pianoforte ; and the

vocal talents of Bros . Seymour Smith , Arthur Thompson , Robert Hilton , Frederick Bevan , James Budd , Thomas Nettleship , Henry Baker , J . H . Mannder , and H . Scbartau were also called into requisi . tion . It wonld be invidious to select any portion of this excellent entertainment for mention beyond tbe remainder . Indeed ifc wonld

be , from tbe faot that eaoh and all used their best exertions to merifc the appreciative support of the audience , very difficult to make a selection . The encores and recalls were freely made by tbe delighted listeners , and there can be no donbt that the well deserved reputation of these annual concerts was considerably enhanced by the merits of the entire performance .

The Marqnis of Ripon Lodge resumed its meetings on Monday last , afc the Pembnry Hotel , Amhurst Road , Dalston ; they will confcinne to be held there every Monday evening at 8 o ' clook , when visitors rre cordially invited to attend .

The painted windows presented to Sfc . James ' s Church , Clerkenwell , by fche Crnsaders Lodge , to commemorate its restoration , will be unveiled on the 13 th inst ., by the Lord Mayor . The subjects are connected with Bible history and Freemasonry ; and tbe artist is Mr , Charles Evans , of Warwiok-street , W .
