M ., and carried unanimously , that the members of this Provincial Grand Lodge have received with deep rpgret the monrnfui intelligence of the decease of their highly esteemed and respected Brother James Malcolm McAllister P . M ., who during eight years had most zealonsly and efficiently rilled the important office of Provi * cial Grand Secretary in

An invitation was accepted to hold the next annual Communication at Northampton , under the banner of the Simon de St . Liz Lodge , No . 245 . After the closing of Provincial Grand Lodge in dne form , the business of the Fowke Lodge was resumed , during which a Past Master ' s jewel was unanimously voted to the I P . M . Bro . T . Worth , ington P . P . G . S O . At the close of the Fowko Lodge , the annual

banqnet of the Province took place , under the presidency of the R . W , Prov . Grand Master ; ample justice having been rendered to it , the customary Loyal and Masonio toasts were duly proposed by the " veteran" Provincial Grand Master , who has now , for nearlv a " quarter of a century , " continuously presided over thia Mark Province , to its great advantage and prosperity .

THE Grand Lodge of this Province assembled , by command of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master , the Right Hon . the Earl of Jersey , at Maidenhead , under the banner of the Jersey Lodge , No . 257 , on Monday last , and was well attended by Officers

and Brethren from all parts of the Province . The Committee of General Purposes met in the Courjcil Chamber of the Town Hal ) , at 11 a . m ., and afc high noon the Jersey Lodge was opened by the W . sponse by the brethren in attendance . The minntes of the last P . G . Mark Lodge at Abingdon , in August 1881 , were confirmed , aud the report of the Prov . Grand Secretary as to the position of the Province was read and received with much satisfaction . The Provincial Grand Treasurer's accounts were received and approved of , the balance to credit of P . G . Lodge being larger than at previous meeting . Prince Leopold , was unanimously voted . After other rontino business , Bro . Jenkin , of Oxford , nominated the Right Hon . the Earl of Jersey as Prov . Grand Master for a further period of threo years , and no other nomination being made , his Lordship was re-elected , and expressed his thanks to the brethren for tho confidence they had again reposed in him . It was announced by the Provincial Grand Master that he would hold his next Provincial Grand Lodge at Reading , a very cordial invitation from the Mark brethren of that town having been given . Brother Jenkin offerpd bis services * as Steward to represent Provincial Grand Lodge afc the next Mark Benevolent Festival . Grand Lodge was then

clospd , and subsequently the Jersey Lodee and the brethren separ * ated for a short interval . On re-assembling , at Boulter's Look , they embarked on board three of Brother Deacon's steam lsunobes , the " Beatrice ,, " " Wild Rose , " and " Iris , " and enjoyed a very pleasant trip to Great Marlnw . returning at about 5 . 30 p . m .. to dine at the

Ray Mead Hotel , where Bro . Deacon had provided a very substantial banqnet . The usual Loyal and Masonic speeches were given after dinner , over which the Prov . Grand Master presided , whilst they were necessarily brief , in order that "due time " might be observed in respect of trains departing for the several districts from whioh the brethren had attended . Bro . Farr . in proposing the R . W . Deputy

G . M . M . M . and th * Officers of Grand Lodge , thanked snch of those Officers who had attended , and also expressed thanks to the Jersey Lodge for the manner in which the reception had been accorded , and facetiously referred to one or two incidents of the river

exenrsion , whioh had so pleasantly varied the business of tbe day . Bro . F . Davison Grand Treasnrer responded , and proposed the health of the Right Wor . Prov . Grand Master , who thanked the Prov . G . Lodge for re-appointment , although he had doubts as so the advisability of continuance in office beyond the specific period assigned . He would .
