FESTIVAL OF ST . JOHN .

THE festival of St . John the Evangelist was celebrated on Mon . day , 27 th December , by the members of the Masonic Craffc throughout Scotland . In Edinburgh the Lodges met in their own rooms or in hotels , and elected their Office-bearers for the ensning year , and thereafter the ceremony of installation took place . After .

wards the brethren dined together ; and m the course of the evening the festival was further observed in the usnal manner by sending out deputations from the respective Lodges , who interchanged fraternal greetings . FESTIVAL OF ST . JOHN .

THE festival of St . John the Evangelist was celebrated on Mon . day , 27 th December , by the members of the Masonic Craffc throughout Scotland . In Edinburgh the Lodges met in their own rooms or in hotels , and elected their Office-bearers for the ensning year , and thereafter the ceremony of installation took place . After .

wards the brethren dined together ; and m the course of the evening the festival was further observed in the usnal manner by sending out deputations from the respective Lodges , who interchanged fraternal greetings .
