reward for their many services , and a recognition of the good works dono by the Scpiare and Compass Lodge . Bro . E . Jones Past Senior Warden , in proposing the health of the Worshipful Master , considered tho elevation for the second time of tho W . M . to tho chair , was a substantial recognition of the regard and confidence in which he is held bv th ( i members of the Lodge . From tho commencement of his
Masonic career he has shown such Iovo for the Craft , such zeal m tho alia its of tho Lodge , aud such undoubted ability in discharging the duties of his offices as to merit the approval of the brethren . Tho Lodge during the past year had been progressing , its present position is mosfc creditable to every member , ancl calls forth tho highest praise on the AV . M . for his administration . Bro . Jones concluded
his remarks by alluding very touchingly to the prevailing distress . The toast was enthusiastically drunk , with full honours and three times three . Bro . Chadwick gavo the next song . The AVorshipful Master really felt that he was not able adequately to thank them for tho kind manner the toast had been received . It was then over twelve mouths since they had conferred ou him the office of Master of the
Lodge , an honour which ho considered the greatest ho had enjoyed during his lifetime . They had renewed that honour ; he felt it very deeply . His only cause for regret on this happy occasion was that Bro . Eyton Jones did not go forward to tho chair , but his declining had induced him to accede to tho wishes of the brethren . His efforts wonld be to discharge the important trust confided to him in tho same
manner ho had done in tho past , and which he was happy to think had given satisfaction . Ho wished to impress ou tho minds of the brethren his conviction that the well being of a Lodge does not altogether depend on tho members attendance at' its meetings , but rather upon tho beneficial impression produced on tho minds of each by our beautiful ritnal Ho wished
them to carry outside the Lodge room those principles which aro inculcated within , and trusted the talent of the Lodgo would bo applied to acquiring : thoso offices , which merit and honour deserve . He next proposed tho health of the Installing Master , in a very complimentary manner , and Bro . Adams favoured the brethren with a song . Bro . Lewis rcuponded . He assured the brethren ho did not waste words when he said that these annual re-unions wore
the happiest periods of his life . Against tho advice of his doctor , and under the severe stress , ho had that night attended and endeavoured to do all ho could for the Lodgo and the enjoyment of tho brethren . He was happy to sec so many worthy Officers who had their inspiration under his supervision , and was glad to know the prosperous state of the Lodge . The more the principles of our Order were known , the
moro highly they would be esteemed , and the addition to onr ranks would be more numerous and advantageous . He deprecated the practice in tho Province of giving the purple to comparative young Lodges in small towns , while a Lodge , full of good deeds , and held in a Bletropolifcan town like AVrexham was over-looked . He urged thebrethren to promote Lodges of Instruction , and promised his aid . He
was always at their disposal , to further their mutual interests Bro . S . W . was entrusted with authority to propose the health of the Visitors , aud , in doing so , ho extended a cordial greeting to one and all . He spoke of mutual advantages arising from visiting . He regretted that ho had nofc been able to visit as much as he wished . His private engagements , and the office of Mayor which he
bad held demanded all his time , yet he hoped to be able to visit more in the future . He had the pleasure of uniting with the toast the names of Bros . A . J . Breretou , S . M . Davies , and H . J . Lloyd . The toast was drunk with full Masonic honours . Bro . Breretou said it had given him great pleasure to visit the Lodge . He had been present at its consecration , and was pleased to see the great progress it
had made . On behalf of tho Sir Watkin Lodge ho extended to all a most cordial welcome . Bro . Lloyd regretted he had not more eloquence to express to the brethren how deeply ho appreciated the hospitality ho bad enjoyed , and tho hearty manner in which the toast was received . He had oue regret only , ancl thab was that he had not seen the installation ceremonv fully performed , as he knew
Bro . Lewis was an adept in the ritual . Bro . Davies also returned thanks for tho honour done the Visitors , after which the AV . M . proposed the health of the Officers of the Lodge . It afforded him great pleasure to bear testimony to the excellence of tho working of every Officer in the Lodge . He was greatly indebted to them . Ho felt like the Captain of a good ship who had trusty Officers and a good crew to
command and man his Craft , the toast was drunk with Masonic honours . Bro . Driscoll gave a recitation . Bro . S . AV . returned thanks for the honour clone the present Officers of the Lodge , and Bro . Past S . AV ., on behalf of the Officers of last year . Both felt that the newlyappointed Officers could not bo excelled in any Lodge , and the remark is justifiable in every sense of the word . Bro . 0 . Bury
proposed the Mnsonic Chanties , aud ably advocated the claims of these noble Institutions . He bad served a Stewardship for the E . M . I . Boys , und hoped to do so for the Girls ; ho hoped they would never for . et the Masonic Charities . The toast was heartily drunk . Bro . A . Bury kindly favoured with a song , and Bro . Driscoll gave another recitation . The Tyler ' s toast was called and given , after which the brethren separated with " Anld Lang Syne . "

His best services would be given to discharge the duties of tho chair , and when his term of office expired ho hoped to have the same amount of satisfaction expressed by the brethren . The AV .
