had filled tho office of P . G . J . W . and S . W ., and he was glad to know that their I . P . M ., Dr . Martin , had just been appointed as P . G . J . W . ho was glad to say there waa not a Lodgo in the province that met in a public house . Still their labours were not light ; the numbers of tho Lodges to superintend had doubled , aud , owing to the continued illness of their respected Provincial Master , the greater part of the work devolved on him . The work called , not only for a deal of energy , but also for a deal of patience and forbearance ; but he waa

This Lod ge had a hall of its own , whore wo are now assembled ; it was a perfect little gem in its way , and good surroundings help to make good members . By tho help of this Lodge and others like it the tone of Masonry , not only in the Province , but

Barrow , who , without doubthad
, done more to elevate Masonry than any other brother in tho Province , and ho might add even in all Scotland , for the Craft at large had taken an example from tho P . G . L . of Glasgow . To-night they were celebrating an epoch in their history ; they had existed for a quarter of a century , and though he was tempted to enlarge ou such a theme , as they had Past Masters present who were at the
formation of the Lodgo he would leave that pleasant duty to them . Bro . D . Lamb then proposed the P . M . ' s of the Lodge . Bro . J . Davidson , one of the founders , who had filled tho chair from 1855 to 1858 , and again for tho years 1868 and 1869 then gave a lengthy , but interesting history of the Lodge from its formation to the present time . Like a good many of the brethren , it had seen its ups and downs ; when ho
took to tho chair it had been closed for two years , its whole possessions were its charter , tho Bible , twenty . four aprons and tho gavels ; now they had opened a Hall of their own . ( Cheers ) . Bro . Brodie gave tho Wardens and other Officers . Bro . J . M . Oliver replied , saying tho officers had been praised for their efficiency , but with such a Master and the aid of tho P . M . ' s it would bo a sh ' amo if they
were not proficient . P . M . McKenzie garo the Visitors . Bro . MaAlister , Greenock , St . John , responded ; ho had at different times filled tho chair for 8 years , and he was glad , from his experience , to testify to tho good working of No . 360 , and also the able way in which the P . G . L . was conducted ; the Grand Lodge should see that other provinces did their duty . When he proposed to take a Hall in Greenock
ho was told he would rain the Lodgo j what was tho result ? they had now above £ 700 worth of property , and during the past seven years thoy had given away no less a sum than £ 470 .
