In submitting the toast of the Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge , Present and Past , tho

W . M . said he was pleased to find so many of the Provincial Officers present , and that ho was thus enabled to tell them how muoh the Province was indebted to thorn for their services . M . ) was glad to seo him occupy tho proud position so worthily held by the late

It was a toast which would , he said , bo received with the greatest possible enthusiasm . In the initiation ceremony , Bro . Roberts had given them an idea of what he could do , and ho felt thafc tho Lodge wonld bo greatly benefited by his

Ho said he could not sufficiently thank tho brethren for tho great kindness and brotherly cordiality whioh they had always extended to him . Brindley brought to bear upon his duties , and it was a pleasure to the members to havo bim presiding over them on this interesting occasion .

Ihe President , iu responding , said ho could nofc claim any merit m regard to speech-roaking , consequently ho shonld not occupy much timo . Ho felt more at home when he took his scat on tho left of tbo W . M . for the timo being at their weekly meetings . However , ho fully iiporeciated tho good wishes expressed by Bro . Buxton , and

truf-ted he might continue his association with the Lodge of Instruction for many more years . Tho next toast was tho health of the Vice-President , proposed by Bro . Kirk , and dnly acknowledged by Bro . Greenway . The President now rose to propose the toast of the evening , —Our Guest , Brother Georgo Reynolds . A few minutes since bo ( Bro . Biir . dlev ) folk a little nervous , but this nervousness

Reynolds , as it was admitted ho was ono of tho best—if n'rt tho beat— Secretaries in London , and ho brought tho full force of his ability to bear upon this Lodge of Instruction .
