He had received invitations from

members of several Lodges , not only in London , but in the country . So far as his engagements would permit , he should be ever ready to comply with these requests ; at the same time he had a desire to see more Craftsmen following hia example ; he felt assured that when once it had been resolved on converting what till now was certainly an innovation into a regular function of Lodges of

Instruction , the brethren generally would feel the benefit of the change . The study of the ceremonies and lectures was imperative on all Masons , but they need not be studied to the entire exclusion of other legitimate subjects of Masonic interest , From the cordial reception he had invariably met with when delivering these lectures ' , he felt the day was not far distant when such Pacers as he had read

that evening would form part of the regular proceedings of such Lodges . Of course , he did not mean to say they should be rend at every meeting—once a month , perhaps , would be amply sufficient , and probably it would be to the general benefit , if , as he would re . spectfnlly suggest , the reading of the paper that might be chosen

should occupy not more than from fifteen to five and twenty minutes . He again thanked them for their kindness , and should be happy on any future occasion , when they were so disposed , to read a Paper on some other equally interesting branch of Freemasonry . Bro .
