To-day was another red letter day in his career , and he trusted he should fulfil the duties creditably to himself and the Wilton Lodge . The W . M . in proposing the health of the I . P . M . Bro . Lloyd , said he was a good Mason , had made a good W . M ., and deserved all the eulogy they could bestow upon him , and
particularly the jewel whioh he ( the W . M . ) had now the pleasure of placing on his breast , aud which he trusted would be worn amongst the members for many years to come . The health of Bro . Lloyd was drank with enthusiasm , and in thanking tho W . M , for his kind remarks , and the brethren for their hearty reception of the toast , and the handsome jewel they had presented him with , he said he had
certainly done all in his power to further the interests of the Lodge , and to ensure harmony and unanimity amongst the brethren . No W . M . could possibly have had a better staff of Officers than he had , and he trusted they would rally round and support the present W . M . in the same w » y . A motion relating to tha necessity for recommendations to the Shooting Committee of tho corps in connection with the Lodge presentation cop and its accompanying annual money grant was introduced by Bro . Marshall , and
consequent on pressure for time , was adjourned for consideration at ensuing meeting . On the proposition of Bio . Major Bridges votes of condolence and sympathy were passed in reference to the recent death of the R . W . H . R . H . the Duke of Clarence and Avondala and
of the late Grand Secretary Bro . Shadwell H . Clerke , and the 38 were ordered to be entered on the minutes . Tho Lodge waa then closed in due form , and the brethren adjourned to supper , after which tho usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were honored and a pleasant hour or two passed in harmony and good fellowship .
