REPORTS OF MEETINGS .

We shall be pleased to receive particulars of Masonic meetings for insertion in our columns , and where desired will endeavour to send a representative , to report Lodge or other proceedings .

CEAPT : METEOPOLITAN .

SELWYN 'LODGE , No . 1901 . THE annual river excursion in connection with this Lodge took place on Thursday , Gth inst ., when train was taken to Windsor , and on arrival there tho party boarded the " Sunbury Belle , " a pleasant trip being enjoyed up the river . Dinner was served at the White Hart Hotel , on the return to Windsor ; and another trip on the river was enjoyed during the afternoon , to Hampton Court , where the party'broke up .

RICHMOND LODGE , No . 2032 . rriHIS Lodge enjoyed its annual river trip on Wednesday , 21 st ult ., about I forty members leaving the town at an early hour to board the " La Bourgoino " at Reading . Lunching at noon at Caversham , they subsequently

dropped down to Henley , where a capital dinner was served at the Red Lion . { starting from thence about five , the launch reached Windsor just too late , alas 1 to allow the party to catch the 9 . 45 train home . They were none the worse for an enforced wait , however , and finally arrived back at Richmond after a most enjoyable day .

INSTEUCTION

PRINCE FREDERICK WILLIAM LODGE , No . 753 . AN exceptionally good meeting was held at the commodious establishment of Bro . Frank Crocker , the Crown Hotel , Aberdeen Place , Maida Vale , N . W ., on the 4 th , those present including Bros . J . Hand W . M ., W . Constant S . W ., B . R . Thomas J . W ., G . Wood P . M . Prec , W . J . Stratten P . M . Treas ., H . J . Thomas P . M . Sec , D . R . Redfearn S . D ., J . H . Craig J . D ., H . Wall I . G ., W . Yeo , M . Swan , O . Grosvenor , J . C . Kruse , S . W . Cohen , J . L . Goldstein , F . Crocker , M . Hart P . M . ; J . Wynman , and others . '

After the minutes had been confirmed the Lodge was called off , and , resuming , the W . M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . J . L . Goldstein , who rehearsed the ceremony of initiation , Bro . Kruse acting as candidate . This ceremony being ended the W . M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . Redfearn W . M . of the Mother Lodge , who opened in the second degree , and

rehearsed tbe ceremony of installation , Bro . Hand being presented as W . M .-elect , and Bro . Hart acting as D . C . After the obligation the Lodge was opened in the third degree , and the newly made W . M . was saluted in the different degrees , ' Bro . Redfearn delivered the three beautiful addresses in excellent style . By desire of Bro . Wood the Preceptor Bro . Goldstein worked the first section of the lecture .

Bro . Goldstein proposed Bro . B . Davies 1158 and Bro . L . H . Gates 1158 as members , and they having been accepted the compliment was acknowledged .

Bro . Constant was unanimously elected W . M . for the next meeting . Bro . G . Wood proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the faultless and excellent manner in which Bro .-Redfearn W . M . of the Mother Lodge had worked the ceremony of installation . Bro . Redfearn in a few appreciative words acknowledged the compliment . There being a Benevolent Association in connection with this Lodge a ballot was taken , which proved in favour of Bro . H . D . Wall .

ANOTHER very good meeting—considering the time of the year—was held on Tuesday , 11 th inst ., those present including Bros . W . Constant W . M ., B . R . Thomas S . W ., A . B . Butt J . W ., N . J . Stratton P . M . Treas ., G . Wood P . M . Prec , H . J . Thomas P . M . Sec , T . B . Harphen S . D ., J . H . Craig J . D ., E . Davies I . G ., J . L . Goldstein , J . Rowe , W . Yeo , M . B . Swan , F . Crockson , L . H . Gates , J . C . Kruse , W . Smith , H . D . Wall , T . Cox , D . R . Bedfearn W . M . 753 , A . Achard , J . Wynman .

Bro . Rowe answered the questions leading to the second degree , was entrusted , and the ceremony of passing rehearsed . The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree and vacated the chair in favour of . the Junior Warden , who rehearsed the ceremony of initiation , Bro . Wall being the candidate . The ceremony , included the ancient charge , was perfectly rendered . ' Bro . Redfearn W . M . of the Mother Lodge delivered the three addresses , which gave great satisfaction .

The W . M . Bro . Constant having resumed his chair Bro . James John Kirby 1158 was elected a member , which compliment was acknowledged . Bro B . R . Thomas will preside on Tuesday next . Bro . Wood proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the

minutes for the able manner in which the W . M . had performed the duties for the first time in this , or any other Lodgo ; this was seconded by the W . M . of the Mother Lodge , who congratulated the acting Master on the able manner in which he had worked the second degree , considering that he was only initiated in September last .

There being again sufficient money in hand for a ballot in connection with the Charity Association Bro . Martin become the possessor of the grant .

ROYAL ALFRED LODGE , No . 780 . A VERY good meeting , considering tho warm weather , was hold ou the 6 th , at Bro . Captain W . T . Purkiss's , the Star and Garter Hotel , Kew Bridge . In the unavoidable absence of Bro . J . Dinnis , Bro . R . H . Williams Preceptor of the Lodge tuok the chair , aud appointo . 1 his Officers as follow : H . Wilcox S . W ., C . E . Dowling J . Wood proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the faultless and excellent manner in which Bro .-Redfearn W . M . of the Mother Lodge had worked the ceremony of installation . Bro . Redfearn in a few appreciative words acknowledged the compliment . There being a Benevolent Association in connection with this Lodge a ballot was taken , which proved in favour of Bro . H . D . Wall .

ANOTHER very good meeting—considering the time of the year—was held on Tuesday , 11 th inst ., those present including Bros . W . Constant W . M ., B . R . Thomas S . W ., A . B . Butt J . W ., N . J . Stratton P . M . Treas ., G . Wood P . M . Prec , H . J . Thomas P . M . Sec , T . B . Harphen S . D ., J . H . Craig J . D ., E . Davies I . G ., J . L . Goldstein , J . Rowe , W . Yeo , M . B . Swan , F . Crockson , L . H . Gates , J . C . Kruse , W . Smith , H . D . Wall , T . Cox , D . R . Bedfearn W . M . 753 , A . Achard , J . Wynman .

Bro . Rowe answered the questions leading to the second degree , was entrusted , and the ceremony of passing rehearsed . The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree and vacated the chair in favour of . the Junior Warden , who rehearsed the ceremony of initiation , Bro . Wall being the candidate . The ceremony , included the ancient charge , was perfectly rendered . ' Bro . Redfearn W . M . of the Mother Lodge delivered the three addresses , which gave great satisfaction .

The W . M . Bro . Constant having resumed his chair Bro . James John Kirby 1158 was elected a member , which compliment was acknowledged . Bro B . R . Thomas will preside on Tuesday next . Bro . Wood proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the

M . of the Mother Lodge , who congratulated the acting Master on the able manner in which he had worked the second degree , considering that he was only initiated in September last .

There being again sufficient money in hand for a ballot in connection with the Charity Association Bro . Martin become the possessor of the grant .
