THE Grand Lodge of Freo and Accepted Masons for tho State of Pennsylvania met in the Masonio Temple iu Philadelphia on 11 th December . Bro . E . Coppse Mitchell Right Worshipful Graud Master was iu the chair , and fche mooting was oue of the largest ever held , about six hundred Officers aud Past Officers of Lodges from all
parts of the State being present . The annnal election of Officers was commenced in tho morning and continued until two o ' clock , when a recess was taken until six o'clock p . m ., to give time to count the votes . Of the expenses 63 , 975 were for interest on tho Masonio loan , and 18 , 000 dollars for
the sinking fund of that loan . The amount of Masonic loan outstanding is 1 , 279 , 500 dollars , ancl the securities ancl cash iu the sinking fund amount to 364 , 772 dollars . of the Lodge , who was promoted to the rank of Graud Overseer at tho annual meeting of fche Grand Mark Lodge , had shown his appreciation of tho honour conferred upon him by donating the sum of -625 to tho Mark Benevolent Fund . Much gratification was expressed at the elevation of Bro . Galloway to his distinguished
position , aud his liberality was thoroughly appreciated . The promotion of the Worshipful Master ( Bro . Partington ) to the office of Provincial Grand Deacon was also noted , and the Worshipfnl Master was warmly congratulated by the brethren ou his advancement to office iu the Order . The Treasurer also announced that the following
