The ballot was taken for two candidates for admission , and was unanimous iu their favour . One of these gentlemen , Mr . William Paul Metchim , waa present , aud he was introduced and received Masonic light . The

consideration of several matters in connection with tho Lodge ensued ,, after which tho brethren partook of a substantinl repast . The customary toasts were done full justice to , and the speeches wero interspersed with songs , which wero given with great spirit , the several contributors being greatly assisted by the accompaniment of Bro , Frost .
