RANELAGH LODGE , No . 834 . ON Good Friday the members turned up in very large numbers . The W . M . 's chair was occupied by Bro . G . F . Payne , who appointed the following Officers : G . T . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Busby taking the candidate ' s place , after which the W . M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . Cozens I . P . M . of the Old Concord Lodge , and having signified his intention of rehearsing the second ceremony Bro . John Worth I . P . M . of the Mother Lodge offered himself as a candidate ' , was examined , and entrusted . The Lodge was advanced and the ceremony gone throughl Bro . Payne having returned to his position resumed the Lodge to the first degree .
Bro . Meek was unanimously elected to act as W . M . at tne next meetings and on the proposition of the worthy Preceptor a vote of thanks was ordered to be entered on the minutes to Bro . G . F . Payne , for the excellent manner in which he had carried out the duties of W . M . for the first time in any Lodge of Instruction . We can cordially endorse Bro . A . Williams's remarks , and considering that Bro . Payne has only been initiated a few months we believe he will prove himself a great acquisition to the Craft .

M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . Worth , who wished to rehearse the ceremony of installation . Bro . Dyer was presented as the W . M .-elect by Bro . Cousens P . M ., and the work was gone through , the W . M . being saluted in the various degrees , and afterwards investing the Officers .
Bro . Worth P . M . Preceptor of the Earl ' s Court Lodge proceeded to deliver the addresses in an impressive and faultless manner , the Brethren complimenting him on the Masonic treat . Bro . Howard was elected W . M . for Monday next .

ON Sunday , at 7 o'clock , at the Frascati , Oxford Street , there was an unusually small attendance , on account of the Easter holidays , but the working was all that could be desired . Bro . A . Bro . Mulvey said the working of Bro . Godrich had given great satisfaction . The fact could not be recorded on the minutes , because that was only done on the first occasion when a Brother acted as Worshipful Master ; otherwise his performance was well worthy of such recognition . This being the first time we had had the pleasure of listening to Bro . Godrich ' s working we congratulate him on rendering both the ceremonies in so faultless a manner .

Garrod , about thirty being present to listen to the continuation of the Fifteen Sections , the first seven of which were worked here on Thursday , 29 fch ult . As at the previous meeting- the chair was taken by Bro . J . E . Paine S . W . 101 , with Bro . H . G . Gush P . M . 1541 as S . W . and R . P . Walkden P . M . 1366 J . W .
, The Lodge being formed was advanced to the second degree , and the Sections were worked by Bros . A . J . Davis , J . Eothschild , A . J . Berry , John Thorn , and G . A . Grant . The Lodge was opened in the third degree , and the following Brethren completed the working : F . W . Kessler , R . P . Walkden , and W . G . Hildreth . The W . M . resumed the Lodge to the first degree and several Brethten were proposed and unanimously elected members .
