A MEETING was held on Monday afternoon , the 2 nd inst ., at the Freemasons' Hall , Dover , and there were some fifty of tho br thren — members and visitors — present . The Lodge was opened at threo o ' clock , the Worshipful Master Bro . G . Chnrch presiding . The miuutes of tho last regular Lodge having bien confirmed , Bro . H . W . Culpeck was duly raised as a Master
Mason . At half-past four Bro . J . Falconer , the S . W ., who had been nuanimously elected Worshipful Master of the IyiHge , was duly instated , the ceremony being admirably performed by the I . P . M ., Bro G . Church . Bro . Falconer appointed his Officers for the year , ft 9 follows : -Bros . A . T . Dartnall S . W ., W . Walker J . W , Rev . V . S .

At the conclusion of the proceedings the members and visitors adjourned to tbe adjoining building , where an excellent dinner was served . The usual Masonic toasts were proposed and responded to , and a very pleasant evening , with harmony , was enjoyed by those present .
APOLLO LODGE , No . 301 . THE installation of Bro . S . A . Gothard as Worshipful Master of the Apollo Lodge ( No . 301 ) for the onsning year took place at the Town Hall , Aloester , on Wednesday , the 4 th inst ., whon a goodly ine
number of the Uratt were present , ceremony was impressively performed by Bro . Dr . F . H . Haynes , of the Shakespeare Lodge , Leamington . The brethren afterwards dined together at the Swan Hotel , under the presidenoy of the newly-elected W . M ., and a most cgreeable and pleasant evening was passed .

THE annual Installalion Mooting of this popular Lodge took plaae last Saturday , at the Royal Forest Hotel , Chin ^ ford , and the weather proving propitious most of the members attended , with sevoral friends , to witness the ceremonial . Dixie , in a highly impressive manner , the several charges boing especially well delivered . The newly-made Master was then saluted in tho various degrees by

This was performed in so admirablo a manner as to elicit high praiso from the brethren present . ' The explanation of tho working tools was given in full , but time did not permit of tho leoture on tho tracing board . It
is satisfactory to not © that tho brethren wero unanimous in their opinion that Bro . Fred . C . Dixie was a worthy successor to the long list of efficient Masters , so that hia year of office promises to be peculiarl y happy and successful . THE installation of Bro . Dauiol T . J . Lyle as W . M . of tho above Lodge , in succession to Bro . Richard Clout , took plate at the Bear Hotel , Town Mailing , on Wednesday , the 11 th inst ., in the presence of a large attendance of brethren , present and past Provincial Grand Lodge Officers and brethren from neighbouring Lodgep . The beautiful ceremony of the ritual was efficiently performed by Bro . Benjamin Sidney Wilmot Installing Master , who , at its close .
was aocorded a hearty vote of thanks . The Worshipful Master , Bro . D . T . J . Lyle , subsequently invested his Officers , as follow : — Bros . R . Clout I . P . M ., R . Mo Vicar S . W ., W . M . Clout , was then presented by the newly installed Master , ia the name of the Lodge , with a Past Master ' s jewel , in recognition of the zeal and ability he had displayed in the discharge of his duties during his year of office . Two gentlemen were proposed for initiation at the next meeting . After hearty good wishes , the Lodge was closed , and the brethren adjourned for the customary banquet . The
W . M . presided , and was supported by a number of Provincial Officers and Installed Masters . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasta followed , and were received heartily by the company , the speeches being agreeably , interspered with amusing songs by Bro . H . Sohartau . The health of the new W . M . was proposed by Bro . R . Clout , who referred in the highest terms to the zeal displayed by
Bro . Lyle in filling all the minor offices of the Lodge until be bad attained the highest honour his brethren could confer upon him . The selection of Bro . Lyle for the chair of K . S . was fully justified by his punctuality and ability , and he ( the speaker ) was sure be would not only do credit to the Lodge , but advance the interests of Free , masonry in general . took to discharge the important duties with which he had bern entrusted to the best of his ability ; and said he hoped to receive the same hearty applause at tbe end of his year of office as the toast had juet received , and he felt snre be should have willing and loyal aaaiatance at the hands of hia Officers .
