his Officers fully employed in their various posts . The I . P . M . ' s toast was proposed by the W . M . iu a speech that did full justice to the recipient ; he enlarged upon that brother's Masonic knowledge ; his working was so perfect thafc it needed no eulogy , as tho brethren present could testify by tho manner tho ceremony of installation had been performed that evening . He now had the pleasure

of presenting him , in the namo of tho Lodge , with a P . M . ' s jewel , at the same timo expressing the earnest wish of the brethren that ho might live for many years to wear it . The W . M . concluded by giving Bro . Isaac his hearty good wishes , in which all the brethren joined . Bro . Isaao observed that he felt as if ho could say , Thank yon , aud sit down , but ho could not do so without saying a few words ; he had

striven to do his utmost to further the interests of tho Kingsland Locige , ancl would continue so to do . Ho thanked tho brethren very kindly for the jewel they had presented him that evening , * also ho thanked the W . M . for his kindly remarks and good wishes in presenting the same . The Visitors' toasfc was proposed , in a short but effective

speech , by the W . M ,, and was duly honoured by the brethren ; it was responded to by Bro . Daniel P . M ., who complimented the W . M . on his elevation ; ifc gave him great pleasure , as he had the honour of initiating Bro . Hawkins into Freemasonry , and so might fairly claim him as one of his children . Bro . Cusworth P . M . also made a few

remarks respecting the W . M . and his Officers . The remaining Visitors added a few words , endorsing the opinions expressed by those brethren who had previously spoken . The Charities was next on the lisfc , aud this toast included the name of Bro . James Terry , tho indefatigable Secretary of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution , Bro . Terry replied . Having assisted in the foundation of the Lodge ,

by consecrating it , he considered himself as its parent , and was glad to find the Lodge had done its duty by contributing to the Charities in the manner ifc had ; he hoped ifc would support them in the future as in the past . In referring to the Charities , he said a great deal of good was done by all , and gave particulars of what each was doing . Bro . Terry made a few remarks relative to candidates for admission to the Charities . In conclusion he thanked the W . M . and brethren

for the kind welcome they had accorded him , and wished the Lodge all prosperity . Bro . Terry ' s speech was listened to with the utmost attention by the brethren , who were greatly interested in the various statements made b y him . Tho mother Lodgo having removed to tho Criterion , it mainly depends on tho brethren of Hammersmith and its vicinity to support this Lodge , which for twenty years has hold its own as tho contro point of Insfcrnction for tho West End of London . Two candidates wero proposed for election , and the Lodge closed in due form . The brefchren then adjourned to a plain but ample and enjoyable supper , after which the usual toasts were given . Bro . Watts , in responding to the toast of the evening , expressed his delight at having come out ; of darkness

Full honour was done to the Loyal and Masonic toasts , and a capital musical entertainment was furnished by Bro . Stedman , who was supported by Bros . Egbert Roberts , Fountain Meon , and several of Bro . Stedmau ' s talented choir boys .

Full honour was done to the Loyal and Masonic toasts , and a capital musical entertainment was furnished by Bro . Stedman , who was supported by Bros . Egbert Roberts , Fountain Meon , and several of Bro . Stedmau ' s talented choir boys .
