The representative men of Gorleston—if wo may be allowed so to designate them—Bro . E . P . Yonell and Bro . Major Dods , had striven to their uttermost to the end that tho meeting shonld tnrn ont a snccessfnl one ; and each vie : l in a spirit of honourable rivalry in offering a cordial welcome to the many visitors , with a result eminently satisfactory to all who
participated m their hospitality . It has been said that Suffolk is fortunate in the nnmber and position of its representatives in the various deerees in Freemasonry , and unquestionably she is securing for herself a position in tho Masonic world . Daring the past few years great strides have been made in the Craft and Royal Arch degrees , which have respectively their Provincial Grand Lodge and Provincial Grand Cbapler , both of them are well represented , and constantly
increasing m numbers of membership . The Mark degree nntil Monday had bnt two Lodges in the comity—one at Ipswich and the other at Bnry St . Edmunds ; on that day , however , the little corner of Suffolk—Gorleston—aspired to the possession of its Mark Lodge , following its earlier aspirations of a Royal Aroh ; and a large gather , ing of Mark Masters , and candidates for advancement , attended at St . Andrew's Hall . " The Yonell" is the title under which this

Ho was especially proud of the duty that now devolved upon him in consecrating a now Lodge in his own county , particularly as in connection
with the day's proceedings a Provinco was to be constituted . He complimented the members of the Lodge upon the excellent start it had made , and thought this might be accepted as a happy augury for its futnre .
