A very large majority of the committee were in favour of William Black , of Grimsby , who was vigorously supported by Bros . J . Sutcliffe and
Robinson his proposer , who was consequently declared elected to receive tho full benefit of tho voting power of the Province , and a strong desire was shewn to obtain the admission of two of the other boys by purchase . Some fear having been expressed by the supporters of little Black , that in the event of the other boys obtaining their admission by purchase , their candidate would be in a
worse position than he would havo been without the voting power of the Province , Bro . Robinson 792 P . P . G . J . D . asked what would be the result if Black were not elected next October ? The reply of Bro . Radley 838 , tlie esteemed Secretary of the P . G . Charity Committee , was characteristic of his determination and devotion to Freomasonry , and was acknowledged by the brethren with the warmest applause . Ho

" The Report of the last year shewed that the Province of Lincolnshire had a fair share of the benefits arising out of the three central Charities . The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , and the visiting brethren departed for their homes by special trains , most kindly arranged for their benefit , as this enabled the majority to enjoy this most pleasurable day almost three hours longer than would otherwise havo been the case . Indeed too much praise cannot be given to the committee of management ( under the ablo leadership of Bro . G . F . Barrell P . M . and Sec . 469 P . G . A . D . of C . )
for their excellent arrangements throughout , which were simply perfect , and well deserving of imitation elsewhere . Vouchers were given to each brother who signed the attendance sheet , and no ono was allowed in Lodge or could obtain a ticket for the banquet without producing it . The menu card was a curiosity of the Chaucerian age , and we trust that " ye Manciple " who catered so well for tho enjoyment of his guests was well rewarded for his trouble .
Tho Summer Festival oi the High Cross Lodge , No * 754 , will be held on Wednesday , 16 th July , afc the Crown Hotel , Broxbourne . Bro . Henry Stephens W . M . of tho

The usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , and the visiting brethren departed for their homes by special trains , most kindly arranged for their benefit , as this enabled the majority to enjoy this most pleasurable day almost three hours longer than would otherwise havo been the case . for their excellent arrangements throughout , which were simply perfect , and well deserving of imitation elsewhere . Vouchers were given to each brother who signed the attendance sheet , and no ono was allowed in Lodge or could obtain a ticket for the banquet without producing it . The menu card was a curiosity of the Chaucerian age , and we trust that " ye Manciple " who catered so well for tho enjoyment of his guests was well rewarded for his trouble .
