Lodge was opened in due form , and minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed . This being tho fourth Tuesday in the month , sections only were worked ; the following brethren taking part : — First Spencer , second Smith , third Barker , fourth Johnson , fifth Mo Donald , sixth Andrews . The Lodge then opened in tho second degree , when Bro . Barker worked the first , Pavitt the second ,
Worsley the third , and Smith the fourth , there being not sufficient time to work the remaining sections . Lodge was resumed , when Bros . Slaiter 801 , and Ellis 129 , were unanimously elected members . In addition to those previously enumerated , there were present Bros . Dixon , Rawe , Johnson , Wright , Sadler , Spencer , McDonald , Dunsmore ,
Glasspoole , Watson , Barker , Pavitt , Powor , White , and Morgan 245 . Bro . Andrews kindly officiated as Preceptor , and , assisted by Bro . McDonald , the questions and answers were ably worked , giving pleasure to every one present . We wero sorry that neither Bro . Musto nor Bro . Falcon Lodge 1416 . —The Annual Excursion took place on tho 19 th inst ., the party consisting of Bros . T . J . Wilkinson W . M ., Rev . C E . Camidge P . P . G . Chaplain , G . Ayre P . M ., W . Coltman S . AV ., W . Hale J . W ., & c , and a considerable number of ladies . The arrangements were most successfully carried out by the Secretaiy , Bro . J . Johnson . Carriages were in readiness at Masham Station to
convey the visitors to Swinton Park , where they were conducted by Mr . Featberstone through the beautiful grounds of Mrs . Danby Harcourt . After luncheon they proceeded to Jervaulx Abbey , and the interesting ruins were examined , Mr . Maughan ( Marquis of Ailesbury ' s agent ) and Mr . Rennio affording much explanatory
information . On their return to Masham a substantial and abundant repast was served by Mr . Stickland , at the King ' s Head Hotel , and the party afterwards inspected the fine Old Church , tho Vicar , the Rev . G . M . Graham , M . A ., and Mr . Bowes of the Swaledalo Bank , contributing much to the enjoyment of the day by their most obliging and courteous attentions .
