Notices Of Meetings.

Lodge was opened in due form , and minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed . This being tho fourth Tuesday in the month , sections only were worked ; the following brethren taking part : — First Spencer , second Smith , third Barker , fourth Johnson , fifth Mo Donald , sixth Andrews . The Lodge then opened in tho second degree , when Bro . Barker worked the first , Pavitt the second ,

Worsley the third , and Smith the fourth , there being not sufficient time to work the remaining sections . Lodge was resumed , when Bros . Slaiter 801 , and Ellis 129 , were unanimously elected members . In addition to those previously enumerated , there were present Bros . Dixon , Rawe , Johnson , Wright , Sadler , Spencer , McDonald , Dunsmore ,

Glasspoole , Watson , Barker , Pavitt , Powor , White , and Morgan 245 . Bro . Andrews kindly officiated as Preceptor , and , assisted by Bro . McDonald , the questions and answers were ably worked , giving pleasure to every one present . We wero sorry that neither Bro . Musto nor Bro . Cundick were present ; we trust it was not illness that prevented them . Bro . Johnson Avill preside on Tuesday next .

Egyptian Lodge of Instruction , No . 27 . —At 119 Leadenhall-street , E . C , on Thursday . Bros . Woodward W . M ., Beedell S . W ., Forss J . W ., J . Da Silva S . D ., Powell J . D ., Alvorsen I . G ., L . Nordon Hon . Sec , Webb Preceptor , and other brothren . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Maidwell candidate . Bro . Da Silva worked the first , second , third , and fourth sections of tho Lecture , assisted by the brethren . Bro . Gimingham 1707 was eleoted a member . Bro . Beedell was appointed W . M . for Thursday next .

St . Michael ' s Lodge of Instruction , No . 211 . —On Thursday , at th « George Tavern , Australian Avenue , Barbican , the brethren were presided over by Bro . F . Brasted , who was supported by a very efficient staff of officers . The ceremony of the third degree Avas rehearsed , the W . M . giving the traditional history and explaining the tracing beard . The appointments for this Lodge of Instruction have been presented by the members of the mother Lodge , who aro anxions to receive the visits of members of the Craft Universal . On

Thursday next the W . M ., Bro . Alfred Withers , will preside , when the Officers of 211 will fill their respective posts . Lodge opens at eight o ' clock .

Dalhousie Lodge of Instruction , No . 860 . —On Tuesday last , at Bro . Smyth's , Sisters' Tavern , Pownall-road , Dalston . Prosent : —Bros . Clark W . M ., J . Lorkin S . W ., Smyth J . W ., Carr S . D ., Polak J . D ., Greenwood I . G ., Dallas Sec , Smyth Treas ., P . M . Wallington Preceptor . Bros . Forss , Brasted , Allen , Christian , Wardell , C . Lorkin . The Lodge was opened , and the minutes of the last

meeting were read and confirmed . Tho ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Hand candidate . Tho Lodgo was called off , and on resuming labour Bro . Allen worked the first , second , third , and fourth sections of tho lecturo , assisted by the brethren . A vote of thanks was accorded the W . M ., this being the first time he had occupied the . hair . Bro . J . Lorkin was elected W . M . for next Tuesday evening .

Falcon Lodge 1416 . —The Annual Excursion took place on tho 19 th inst ., the party consisting of Bros . T . J . Wilkinson W . M ., Rev . C E . Camidge P . P . G . Chaplain , G . Ayre P . M ., W . Coltman S . AV ., W . Hale J . W ., & c , and a considerable number of ladies . The arrangements were most successfully carried out by the Secretaiy , Bro . J . Johnson . Carriages were in readiness at Masham Station to

convey the visitors to Swinton Park , where they were conducted by Mr . Featberstone through the beautiful grounds of Mrs . Danby Harcourt . After luncheon they proceeded to Jervaulx Abbey , and the interesting ruins were examined , Mr . Maughan ( Marquis of Ailesbury ' s agent ) and Mr . Rennio affording much explanatory

information . On their return to Masham a substantial and abundant repast was served by Mr . Stickland , at the King ' s Head Hotel , and the party afterwards inspected the fine Old Church , tho Vicar , the Rev . G . M . Graham , M . A ., and Mr . Bowes of the Swaledalo Bank , contributing much to the enjoyment of the day by their most obliging and courteous attentions .
