To him , therefore , the Craft might look , ancl did , as to one whose mind was devoted to its interests , and who zealously laboured , according to
his own opinions , to carry out all he considered an improvement , or likely to prove one , iu the discipline or practice of Freemasonry . Tbis first and introductory part of the Life of tbe late Brother cannot be more properly concluded than by inserting a Chronological Table of those events in his Masonic career which it is proposed to describe more fully , from information gleaned from the best aud most authentic sources , in the succeeding portions of this biography .
