This day an Especial Grand Lodge was holden , in compliance with the following Circular ;—• " UNITED GRAND LODGE OF FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS IN ENGLAND . His Royal Highness Pr ' nce Augustus Frederick , DUKE OF SUSSEX , K . G . & c . & c . & c . M . W . Grand Master .

MASTER , —Your attendance is hereby required , together with the Past Masters and AVardens of your Lodge , at an Especial Grand Lodge , to be holden on AVednesday , the 24 th day of June instant , at Twelve for One o ' clock in the Afternoon , punctually , to consider an Address of Congratulation to be presented to Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen , upon the providential escape of Her Majesty and Her Royal Consort from the atrocious attempt on thc life of Her Majesty and of His Royal Plighness Prince Albert of Saxe Cobourg and Gotha .
