This deplorable event occurred at one o ' clock , p . m ., on Thursday , the 12 th instant , after a long and painful illness , arising from an enlargement of the heart . The Grand Lodge
was convened on the following day , and made the necessary arrangements for the funeral , which was appointed to take place at five o ' clock , on Sunday afternoon , the 15 th instant , at which time the mortal remains of our departed Brother were deposited in the silent tomb by the Grand Lodge , and a numerous assemblage of his relatives and friends .
