The Brethren , after the Lodge had been opened with the usual ceremonies , proceeded to the parish church , where Divine service was celebrated . After the sermon a collection was made for the benefit of the Dispensary , amounting to 10 / . The banquet was provided and served at the Old Sir Simon ' sMarket-streetand was replete with every delicacy in season .

DONCASTER , Whit Monday . —Ceremony of Laying the Foundation Stone of the New Markets . —The foundation-stone was laid in tbe presence of an immense number of spectators , including many from the surrounding neighbourhood . The day was delightfully fine ; and all the shops having been closed , Whit Monday was kept as a holiday .
