Feb . 9 . —At his seat , Swansfield , Northumberland , aged 91 , HENRY COLLINGIVOOD SELBY , Esq ., Clerk of the Peace for the county of Middlesex , Past Grand Warden . His career as a Mason was not marked by any brilliant effect , but he was uniform in his practice , and always expressed his admiration of the principles of the Order . In 1811 he was treasurer to the Board of Steivards , and entered the Steward ' s Lodge . In 1812 he was appointed Junior Grancl Warden under the Prince of
Wales , and was the last appointed previous to the Union . Feb . 19 . —We regret to have to announce tbe death of the EARL OF ZETLAND , Pro Grand Master , which took place rather suddenly , at Croke Hall , the family seat , near Richmond , Yorkshire , after an illness of only a few hours . The late noble Earl appeared quite well on the previous day , but on arising the following morning , his lordship complained of giddiness ; he fell into a slumber at noon , and expired
ivithout a si gh at three o ' clock in the afternoon . The late Earl was bom the 10 th of April , 1766 , and was consequently in his 73 d year . We have elsewhere recorded this melancholy event , and attempted a biographical memoir of this most affable and generous nobleman . Lately . —Brother A . B . BLAKISTON , aged 50 , at his residence , the Holme , Regent ' s Park . The deceased , although not very conspicuous in the public ordinances of the Craft , was , in private life , the zealous admirer and supporter of its tenets . He was initiated in the Lodge of Union , and was greatly respected .

REIGATE . —SURREY LODGE , NO . 603 , Feb . 8 . —Brother Knowles was installed by Brother Martin , P . M ., into the chair , to whom he bids fair to be a worthy successor . The Masters of the Lodges in the Provinces had been invited to make arrangements for the forthcoming Grand Lodge on the 27 th of February , who attended with other visitors-Lord Monson , the Prov . G-M . for Surrey , the founder and first Master of the Lodge , in returning thanks at the banquet , observed that the Lodge was his pet-ehildand would ever have his earnest support .
, We may take occasion to observe , that his Lordship ' s example as a provincial ruler , and as a zealous Mason , might be emulated with greater advantage than the many absentees are aware of .
