GEAND STEAVAEDS' LODGE . —The Brethren of this Lodge gave a public night on Wednesday , March 15 th , which Avas very fully attended , when Bro . J . N . Tomkins , the AV . M ., assisted by a number of members of the Lodge , most ably worked the lecture of the Eirst Degree in sections .
GEAND MASTEE ' LODGE ( NO . 1 ) . —The monthly meeting of this Lodge Avas held at the Ereemasons' Tavern , on Monday , Eeb . 20 fch , under the presidency of our excellent Bro . Potter , the W . Bf . for the year . At the conclusion of the Masonic business , upAvards of thirty of the Brethren dined together .
BOYAL SOMEESET HOUSE AND INVERNESS LODGE ( NO . 4 ) . —Tho members of this Lodge met together at the Ereemasons' Tavern , on Monday , Eeb . 27 th ., when Bro . Le Veau , G . S . B ., was installed as W . M ., by Bro . J . A . Joseph , P . M ., after Avhich a gentleman Avas ably initiated into the Order . Amongst the visitors were Bro . the Bight Hon . the Earl of Tarborough , D . G . M ., who was proposed as a joining member BrosWHWhiteGrand

Bandall , S . D . ; J . Joseph , jun ., J . D . ; Peat , I . G . ; Chaplin , Dir . of Cer . About fifty Brethren sat down to refreshment . The usual toasts were well received , especially those of the D . G . M ., the Bight Hon . the Earl of Yarborough , and the AV . M ., Bro . Le A eau . No Lodge in the Craft is now in a greater state of prosperity than the Boyal Somerset House and Inverness ; and it bids fair to continue to flourish under the presidency of the "W . M ., and from the support which it receives from some of the most intelligent , active , and charitable members of the Craft , who are amongst its members .

Head Avas most ably installed in the Master's chair by Bro . John Havers , P . M . The AV . M . having appointed his Officers , a candidate was duly initiated into the Order . About twenty of the Brethren aftei'Avards dined together , amongst whom were several visitors , including Bro . AV . II . White , Grand Sec . ; Bro . Kightley ; Bro . Crohn , & c . i 2
