Other toasts followed , and a special glass was in the course of the evening dedicated to the health of the Mayor of Calne—not himself a Mason—who had kindly permitted the use of the Town Hall for the consecration . —The Brethren separated in the utmost harmony .
* WORCESTERSHIRE . HANLET . —Mentm-ia Lodge ( No . 606 . )—This Lodge which for some years past has been under a cloud , has at length been resuscitated by the zealous exertions of several Brethren in the town , who have joined it in order to diffuse the light of Masonry in their A'icinity . Bro . W . K . Harvey , P . M . 803 and 660 , having been duly elected , was installed as W . M . on Tuesday , the 7 th of February ,
amongst a numerous attendance of Brethren ; Bro . Thos . Ward , the B . W . D . P . G . M . for Staffordshire , and several members of the P . G . Lodge were present . The Brethren subsequently adjourned to refreshment at Bro . Wood's , Albion Hotel . The AV . M ., on taking his place in the Lodge , discovered , that the three greater lights formerly belonged to a Lodge over which his own grandfather ( a zealous Mason ) presided no less than half a century ago . May his mantle and spirit , as well as his insignia , continue to rest with this indefatigable Lewis .
YORKSHIRE . KEIGHLET . —The Brethren of the Boyal Yorkshire Lodge , No . 332 , assembled , Jan . 2 nd , to celebrate the festival of St . John , when the Lodge was opened in the 3 rd Degree . The installation of Bro . I . Emtnatt took place , when the P . M ., Bro . I . Booth , delivered the charge in a very eloquent and impressive manner , after which the following Brethren were duly installed in
their respective offices : viz ., I . Booth , P . M . ; E . C . Smith , S . W . ; AV . Cockshott , J . W . ; T . Midgley , S . D . ; J . Cawood , J . D . ; T . Brown , Treas . ; E . 0 . Sharp , Sec . ; C . H . Fraser , I . G . ; J . Smith , Tyler . The Lodge having been closed , tbe Brethren , about forty in number , sat doAvn to refreshment . The harmony of the evening was enlivened by the usual Masonic and other toasts . Bro . BrownP . M . delivered an eloquent orationand limented
