A monumental column to Sir Walter Scott is also shortly about to be erected in Glasgow , from a classical design by Brother David Rhind , of Edinburgh , a rising and talented architect . Alter the general business of the Order was transacted , it was moved and approved unanimousl y , that the services of Dr . Crucefix entitle him to still further promotion , and that he be elevated to the dignity of the Grand Cross , taking his rank accordingly .
It being considered that tho interests of the " Order would be advanced by having a member of the Scottish Grand Conclave to act as its representative in the Grand Conclave of England , it was resolved , and unanimously approved , that Dr . Crucefix be appointed Procurator-General ; to conduct correspondence , and otherwise to act in the Grand Conclave of England as circumstances may require . ST . ANDREW ' DAY . — .
