O'Brien ' s Essay on the Round Towers of Ireland , for the purpose of remarking upon a position he has there laid down , of far greater importance than even the " verbal phantasmagoria of the Tree of Knowled
ge , or "the Allegory of the Deluge I allude to his assertion ( p . 292 ) , that "from Genesis to Revelation , the concurrent tenor of the Sacred Volume gives proof to the tact of Christ s former appearance upon the earth as a man f which he has also represented ( pp . 343-4 ) , as the doctrine of Freemasonry .
