Almighty Architect of the Universe—Unto the grave has been resigned the body of our loving Brother and Right AVorshipful Master , there to remain until the day of general resurrection . This we beg for Jesus sake . —Amen .

Apprentice Lodge was then opened , in the usual manner , when Captain J . D . Boswall was unanimously elected to the vacant chair . Lord Ramsay , as Grand Master , and the other Members of the Grand Lodge of Scotland , were then ushered in , and took their places in the
Lodge , when , in their several speeches , they bore willing testimony to the merits of the late lamented Master , to the great loss they had sus' tained as Masons—and to the hope , that tbe jiroceedings of that evening ivould have a lasting and salutary effect on all present , and stir them to emulate tbe virtues of their late lamented Brother—after which the new Master was complimented on his elevation to tbe Chair , ivhich was duly acknowledged , and very soon afterwards the Lodge was closed with the usual formalities , and the meeting broke up . Our lengthened notice of this meeting has left hardly room for remark .
