ON THEIR RETURN FROM AUSTRALIA AND CANADA . A hundred thousand welcomes I we greet you once again ; Greater Britain sends you home with messages of love ; It has not all been pleasure , you've suffered grief and pain , But safely home at last you come—Praise to God above ! Versed in speech and action , our Sailor Prince has proved
Courteous to our distant Cousins , full of kindly thought ; Gracious Princess May has shown us why she is so loved , Loyalty to King and Country she has won , nbt bought . Chivalry is not yet dead , we are English still , Easy 'tis to win our hearts , our loyalty is sure ; Proud of those who rule us , glad to do their will ,
Though Anarchy may stalk abroad our fealty shall endure . So we bid you welcome gladly home again ,
King and Country thank you both for the work well done ; You have bound the Empire in a golden chiin , Commonwealth , Dominion , Colonies , are won . What reward awaits you , that I cannot say ; Prince , I salute you as man of many parts ;
We are not ungrateful ; that is not our way ; Princess , you have taught our kin the union of hearts . The King , our gracious Sovereign , hath it in his mind ; Do I speak lor England ? Naught I say avails ; Honours fresh await you—Fortune she is blind , But we'd gladly hail you as Prince , Princess of Wales .
